West Bromwich Albion welcome strugglers Norwich City to the Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon and I have three weekend football tips for this one.
West Brom vs Norwich Predictions
Recent weeks have seen the Baggies move away from the relegation zone. They've only lost one of their last eight league games, unbeaten in the last four and now sit in 11th place with 39 points. Of those last four, they won three of them, including great wins over Everton and Manchester United, and that run pretty much secures their Premier League status.
Norwich on the other hand have been poor. They haven't won since the turn of the year and have only taken two points from a possible thirty since. Last time out though they held one of the division's highest scorers in Manchester City to a 0-0 draw at Carrow Road in a much improved performance so could that prove the turning point in the Canaries season?
I think they've a chance of getting something from this game too for my Premier League predictions, but they'll have to do it without leading goalscorer Nathan Redmond, who picked up an injury in that game. Alex Tettey is also missing but Alex Neil could welcome back Robbie Brady and Steven Naismith after injuries forced the pair to miss out last weekend. West Brom have a couple of injuries to deal with too, Chris Brunt is out until next season and James Morrison is still a couple of weeks away but Tony Pulis could include Jonny Evans, Craig Dawson and Callum McManaman in his squad.
Every now and then I get a gut feeling about a particular match that (usually) stands me in good stead. For my first West Brom vs Norwich prediction I think despite West Brom's current good form, with Norwich in desperate need for three points they could nick this here…West Brom don't have much to play for and after Norwich's performance against City last weekend they'll have a lot more confidence in surviving this season. I'm putting a couple of quid on the away win.

Patrick Bamford was one in particular who impressed against the Blues. He was lively, causing the City defence problems and was unlucky not to score a stunner when his shot come off the bar. He had a nightmare loan spell at Crystal Palace earlier this season but in his two appearances for Norwich so far he's looked good. Even if my gut feeling is wrong (surely not…) I think this will be a close game. My actual gut feeling is for this to be 0-0 after 45 minutes, Bamford to score second half and Norwich defending like demons to take away a 1-0 win but even an obsessive gambler like me is thinking twice about that (well, I'll throw a quid on it).
