Croatia vs Spain Betting Tips and Predictions – Euro 2016

Croatia vs Spain betting tips, predictions and preview for this week’s Euro 2016 Group C match and the best odds for each betting tip including a tea, to win bet.

The final Group D games take place on Tuesday night as group leaders Spain face Croatia. Both sides have already qualified for the next stage of the competition, but there’s the threat of elimination hanging over Ante Cacic’s side after their fans caused trouble earlier in the week.

Croatia vs Spain Prediction

Spain can cement their place as group champions if they avoid defeat here. They put in a convincing display against Turkey on Friday as they ran out 3-0 winners. Two quick fire goals in the first half put the game beyond Fatih Terim’s side. Alvaro Morata got off the mark for the tournament and Nolito put in a much improved performance from a wide position.

The two time defending Champions weren’t mentioned by many in the build up to the tournament, but they’re very much contenders and it will be no surprise to see Vincente Del Bosque’s side make it to final four. Morata netted twice and they may have found the answer to their striker conundrum. They’ve got quality in midfield with both Iniesta and Silva pulling the strings to devastating effect. They struggled to find a way past a dogged Czech Republic as they felt their way into the tournament. Patience was the key though and they have it in spades. They remain unbeaten in 13 games at the European Championships, a mightily impressive record and it’s going to be hard for Croatia to overthrow them as group leaders.

Croatia let a two goal lead slip against the Czechs, but weren’t helped by the crowd trouble which marred the match. After easing past Turkey in the opening fixture, they scored twice and looked on course to make it six points from two games. It wasn’t to be though and a lapse in concentration leaves them needed at least a point here to secure second spot. They may in trouble with UEFA for the actions of their fans but they are unlikely to hear before Tuesday.

Worrying for Ante Cacic, he may be without Luka Modric here as the influential midfielder nurses a muscle injury picked up in the 2-2 draw. The Real Madrid midfielder may not be risked along with striker Mario Mandzukic, who likewise is carrying a knock. The former was removed on Friday and his side collapsed following his departure. Against a team like Spain, they could really do with him in the starting eleven. They are still dark horses for the tournament, but with injuries stacking up and fans rebelling, it might stop them from progressing to latter stages of the competition.

These two met in Euro 2012 with Spain emerging narrow 1-0 winners. Croatia haven’t beaten them in 22 years and it’s hard to see them breaking that record here. If news filters through that Modric and Mandzukic are absent for this fixture, the price on Spain is likely to shorten. My first Croatia vs Spain prediction is for Spain to win. They can be backed at 6/5 with William Hill.

Spain netted three against Turkey and look like they are finally into their stride. They could grab a couple more against a Croatia side who collapsed late on last time out. My second Croatia vs Spain betting tip is for Spain to score Over 1.5 team goals. They are 11/8 with Bet365.
