Hungary surprised everybody by finishing top of Group F ahead of Portugal and Austria to seal their way into the knock-out stages of Euro 2016. It was no fluke either, they impressed in particular in their win against Austria and the 3-3 draw with Portugal, topping the group with five points.
Bernd Storck rested those players in danger of suspension for that Portugal thriller, so he could revert back to the side that drew 1-1 with Iceland. Belgium started the tournament in woeful fashion, losing 2-0 to Italy in their first game with a below-par performance, but bounced back with wins over Republic of Ireland and Sweden. They’re looking more like the team we expected before the tournament began, and they’ll be looking to continue their winning streak and progress to the quarter-finals.
Marc Wilmots may look to stick with the same side that beat Sweden 1-0 in their last group game, though Mousa Dembele will be fighting for another start if he can regain full fitness.
Belgium are huge favourites for this game, but Hungary will push them all the way. Belgium’s defence have kept two clean sheets on the trot, but I doubt they’ll make it a third.
