Saturday’s Football Accumulator Tips
Norwich v Newcastle – Norwich to win
We start this weekend’s accumulator tip with a Premier League relegation six pointer. Newcastle have had a shocking campaign so far and have been in the bottom three all season. They finally departed with manager Steve McClaren and appointed Rafa Benitez but even with his experience I believe that the Magpies will find it difficult to beat the drop. Three points in this match is essential but Newcastle have the second worst away record in the league recording just two victories and scoring just seven goals. Norwich have found life tough since winning promotion last season but have battled well in recent weeks to gain some much needed points. After this match they then face fellow relegation rivals Sunderland and Crystal Palace so the Canaries have a real chance to put some distance between themselves and the bottom three but for that to happen they must win on Saturday and I think that they have just about enough fight about them to do that.
West Ham v Crystal Palace – West Ham to win
This is a match between two FA Cup semi-finalists with very different league priorities for the rest of the campaign. West Ham are having their best season for many a year and if their good form continues they could start their new life in the Olympic stadium as a Champions League club. They currently find themselves just a point behind the top four and another win here will add more pressure to the teams above them. The Hammers have a great home record and are undefeated on their own patch since August and should take the points on Saturday if they plat to their potential. Crystal Palace were as high as fifth in the Premier League back in December but have not won in thirteen league matches and now find themselves just two places and seven points above the drop zone. The Eagle's look toothless up front and need to find a way to win again soon otherwise they could be playing Championship football next term.

Burton v Bury – Burton to win
Just seven short years ago Burton Albion were a non-league club. However, they are now on the verge of being promoted for a third time during that period and could find themselves playing in England's second tier next term against the like of Aston Villa. They have been in the top two all season and anything other than automatic promotion this season would now seem like a disappointment for the midlands club. They lost last time out so will want to put that right this weekend with three points that will keep them top of the table. Their opponents Bury were promoted from league Two last season alongside the Brewer's but have had a less spectacular campaign. They started the season well and were in the top six in early November but have since won just five times in 21 matches and have slid town the standings. The Shaker's look safe from relegation but look unlikely to add to their single away victory in 2016 this weekend.
Shrewsbury v Wigan – Wigan to win
Wigan are on a fantastic run at present going 17 matches unbeaten as their chase for promotion to the Championship continues. The 2013 FA Cup winners have found themselves playing at this lower level of football for the first time since 2003 after two relegations in three seasons. Manager Gary Caldwell had a complete overall of his squad in the summer and despite it taking time to take shape the Latics now find themselves in second position and just a point off of top spot. They face a Shrewsbury side who themselves have been on quite a good run of late. They have been sitting just above the relegation zone all season but are undefeated in nine outings. This has seen the Shrew's rise to 17th in the table and five points above the bottom four. This should be a good game between two inform sides but I think that the class that Wigan have will eventually show and see them tighten their grip on a promotion spot.

Gillingham v Coventry – Gillingham to win
We finish this weekend’s accumulator tip with two other clubs who are chasing promotion from League One. For the first half of the campaign Coventry looked like a club who had a great chance of going up. Tony Mowbray's men were playing well with on loan Newcastle striker Adam Armstrong scoring for fun and The Sky Blue's looked destined for a top six finish. However, a run of just four wins in 21 has seen them slip out of the play-offs and they are now in real danger of finishing the season in mid-table. Gillingham have also been up and around the promotion mix all season but unlike Coventry they have managed to stay in there. They had a bad run at the start of March losing three on the bounce but have since gone four unbeaten and manager Justin Edinburgh will expect his side to gain another three points to add to the best home record in League One.
