QPR v Fulham predictions and weekend football tips for betting on the Championship fixture kicking off at 12.30pm on Saturday 13th February.
There’s a West London derby on Saturday lunchtime as Fulham make the short trip to Loftus Road to face QPR and our football tipster has picked his best three bets for today's fixture that is live on Sky Sports.
QPR v Fulham Predictions
QPR have put together a nice little run together under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and are now unbeaten in five. They’ve lost just two of the last eight and are becoming much harder to beat under the final Burton coach. The R’s beat Ipswich in their last match here by a single goal and kept a potent Tractor Boys attacking line at bay. It’s now just one goal conceded in four matches and just seven in eight and they’re definitely tightening up at the back.
One of the noticeable things about JFH’s tenure at Burton was their resilience and how difficult they became to beat. Very rarely did a team come and take all three points and he appears to be replicating that in West London.
It’s a very different story for Fulham, who are enduring a fairly miserable campaign with new manager Slavisa Jokanovic still looking for his maiden win since taking over at Craven Cottage. It’s just one win in 8 for Fulham and that was against lowly Rotherham. They picked up valuable points against Derby, Bolton and Huddersfield, but it’s their defending which is problematic, with the Cottagers failing to keep a clean sheet in 18 games. They’ve let 49 goals past them this season, which is alarming considering we’re only just into February.
With the upturn in form for QPR in recent weeks, it’s hard to make a case for the visitors winning this match. They have kept hold of Moussa Dembele and Ross McCormack which is a huge boost and will stop them being sucked into any relegation problems, but if they can’t keep clean sheets (even when winning) they are always going to have to do things the difficult way.
For my weekend football betting tips I fancy QPR to continue their upward momentum and although the play-offs look a long way, there’s no reason why they can’t aim for a top six finish. They haven’t lost in five and I can’t see them slipping them up here.
My first QPR v Fulham prediction is for QPR to win. They can be backed at 6/5 with Bet Victor which are today's best odds available.

With Hasselbaink tightening things up at the back, QPR have been involved in some low scoring games of late. Four of their last five games have finished with two goals or fewer and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this one go the same way. Although, Fulham are one of the top scorers in the league, they’ve only scored four times in the last five games and similar to Rangers, four of their last five games would have landed the Unders.
My second Championship prediction for QPR v Fulham is for Under 2.5 goals. It can be backed at 8/11 with Betfred.

Connor Washington has yet to break his duct for his new club, but has looked lively whenever he made an appearance. He created plenty of opportunities for the players around him as well which is good to see. Sebastian Polter seems to be getting more of a chance under JFH and is delivering with a couple of goals in recent weeks and at 12/5 with Bet365, he seems like a decent proposition to get on the scoresheet during the 90 minutes. The Austrian could become one of the Championships more natural finishers next season if he is able to continue his run in the team.
My third QPR v Fulham betting tip is for Sebastian Polter to score anytime. He can be backed at 12/5 with Bet365.
