Football Accumulator Tips 12th March 2016

Huddersfield v Burnley – Burnley to win

We start this week’s accumulator tip with table topping Burnley. Manager Sean Dyche has his side playing some good consistent football and that has seen them reach the Championship summit. They are on an unbeaten run of 13 matches winning ten in that time which has seen them open up a four point gap on their title rivals. The signing of Andre Gray at the start of the campaign was very good business and if he can add to his 20 goals he has already scored this season then the Claret's should come away with the points. Their opponents Huddersfield currently sit just seven points above the relegation zone. They recorded a much needed victory in midweek to keep a reasonably safe distance away from the bottom three and will need another performance of that nature to get something out of this match.

What are the odds for Burnley to beat Huddersfield this weekend? 6/4 at Ladbrokes.

Barnsley v Southend – Barnsley to win

In mid-December Barnsley were rock bottom of League One and in the kind of form that seemed that relegation was a certainty. Just three months and 13 games later the Tyke's have won eleven times to find themselves in a play-off position and in with a real chance of promotion to the Championship. They have recently lost manager Lee Johnson to Bristol City but caretaker boss Paul Heckingbottom has continued Johnson's good work and you wouldn't bet against them getting three more points this weekend against Southend. The Shrimpers have had a good campaign since promotion from League Two last season but have lost four of their last six and have slipped five points behind the play-offs. They need to find their form quickly if they have ambitions of a second successive promotion but I think that they will come up short against the divisons form club.

What are the odds for Barnsley to beat Southend this weekend? 3/4 with Ladbrokes.

Burton v Fleetwood – Burton to win

After winning the League Two title last term few would have expected Burton to be four points clear at the top of League One with just 11 matches to go but that is just where they find themselves. Despite a managerial change mid-season Burton have remained consistent and difficult to beat under new manager Nigel Clough and anything but promotion would now be seen as a disappointment to The Brewer's faithful. They have recorded the second most wins in the league and have the tightest defence which should help them have just about enough to beat improving Fleetwood for our accumulator tip this weekend. The Cod Army have been fighting relegation all season but are currently three games unbeaten, a run that has seen them move five points clear of the drop zone. Another victory could be vital in their survival bid but they have a very poor away record and I fancy Burton to take the points.

What are the odds for Burton to beat Fleetwood this weekend? 10/11 with Ladbrokes.

Swindon v Millwall – Millwall to win

This is a match between to clubs who are in great form. Swindon have had a very up and down campaign. The Robin's found themselves in the relegation zone back in November after an awful run of 11 games without a win. They looked like having a season long relegation battle on their hands but they have really improved since caretaker manager Luke Williams took the reins back in December. They have won four on the bounce and find themselves in mid table but this week they face a real challenge in Millwall. The Lions took time to adapt to life in League One but have found their form over the last couple of months where they have lost just once in eleven matches which has seen them sit comfortably in the top six. They are built on a strong defence that has conceded just a single goal in seven games and I fancy them to just come out on top in what should be a really good match.

What are the odds for Millwall to beat Swindon this weekend? 13/10 with Labrokes.

Colchester v Wigan – Wigan to win

We finish this weekend’s accumulator tip with two teams who have very different ambitions for the remainder of the campaign. Wigan are another club who found the drop to League One difficult at the start of the campaign but their class has shown in recent months and it would be a great surprise if they didn't achieve promotion this term. They are 14 games unbeaten and should have more than enough quality for the leagues bottom club. Colchester have had a terrible campaign and will surely be playing League Two football next season. They have conceded a massive 81 goals so far this term which is a huge reason behind their current run of a single victory in 21 matches. It would be a huge shock to see anything but a Wigan victory and I expect The Latic's to secure the win and take another step towards promotion.

What are the odds for Wigan to beat Colchester this weekend? 4/5 with Ladbrokes.
