Both Teams to Score Tips this Weekend
Nottingham Forest v QPR
Nottingham Forest have been one of the first teams in any BTTS bet this season as Phillipe Montanier’s side continue their search for defensive stability. They have a remarkable record of having not kept a clean sheet yet this season. 14 of their 18 games in all competitions would have landed BTTS this season and it should happen again at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon. QPR were poor in their derby defeat to Brentford last weekend, but they must surely improve from that. They’ve found the net in all but one away game so far this season. Rotherham v Preston
Rotherham looked much improved under Kenny Jackett last weekend and they should be able to cause a threat to the Preston defence on Saturday. Danny Ward scored both goals as the Millers drew 2-2 at Ipswich and they will be looking to give the fans something to cheer about here. Preston have improved over the weeks and were on an unbeaten run until they came across Newcastle last weekend. Jermaine Beckford is back to fitness and should play some part in this match. He adds another dimension to the Lilywhites attack and they should be able to find a way past comfortably the worst defence in the Championship. Rotherham have conceded 35 goals this season already and couldn’t prevent a late Ipswich equaliser last weekend.

Shrewsbury v Barnet
Both these sides have been good for a BTTS bet this season. Barnet came from 2-0 down to beat 10 man Hartlepool 3-2 at the weekend and that brought the total to 9 goals in their last 2 matches. The Bees have scored at least two goals in four of their last five goals have John Akinde in fine form. They could trouble league one Shrewsbury here and don’t be surprised to see a (small) upset. Shrewsbury have appointed Paul Hurst as their new boss and picked up a 1-1 draw with Southend at the weekend. The Shrews haven’t kept a clean sheet since the 13th of August and look vulnerable and shaky at the back. They do have some decent forward thinking players though and could cause Barnet some problems here. BTTS would have landed in 3 of their last 4 games.
Bury v AFC Wimbledon
It’s always disappointing to be drawn against somebody from your own league in the first round of the FA Cup, but Bury and AFC Wimbledon will see plenty of each other this season. They met on the 18th of October and AFC Wimbledon picked up a 2-1 win. It’s part of Bury’s run of 7 consecutive defeats which they are currently embarking on. They gave it plenty of fight against Northampton last weekend, coming back from 3-0 down to make it 3-2 and cause a nervy last few minutes. Bury have only failed to score twice since the 20th of August, once was against the obstinate Bolton defence and the other was in their local derby against Rochdale. AFC Wimbledon were involved in a 3-2 thriller with Bradford at the weekend and have been free-scoring away from home with 10 goals in their last 4 matches.
