Football Accumulator Tips 4th November
Malaga v Sporting Gijon – Malaga win
La Liga is our first stop where Malaga host Gijon. The hosts are very strong at home and beat Leganes 4-0 here last time out. They lost away at Atletico Madrid, but did put two past a usually sturdy Atletico backline. They’ve hit nine goals in the last four games and could have a little too much firepower for lowly Gijon. At home, Malaga have won their last three games scoring eight in the process and it’s hard to see the visitors being the side to halt that run. Gijon have scored just one goal in their last five visits here and don’t enjoy facing Malaga. They’ve lost three of their last four away games in La Liga with a 0-0 draw with bottom club Granada stopping the rot. Malaga should be far too strong here for a side who struggle on their travels and don’t score enough goals.
Hertha v Monchengladbach – Hertha win
Another home win, but this time in the Bundesliga. Hertha have tremendous home for so far with four wins from four and should carry on that fine run of form here. They’ve beaten Freiburg, Schalke, Hamburg and FC Koln who sit in 4th place. They won’t make this easy for Monchengladbach, who may be feeling the effects of a quick turnaround from their Champions League match with Celtic. Hertha have had the entire week to train and rest and should be ready for this tie. The visitors away form is atrocious and they have picked up just a single point from four away games. They’ve also failed to score in four consecutive Bundesliga games and it’s a real worry for their fans. Hertha should have enough.

Sparta Rotterdam v Heerenveen – Heerenveen win
There’s a lot to like about Heerenveen’s start to the season. They find themselves in 4th place in The Eredivisie table, just a couple of points behind PSV. They held leaders Feyenoord to a 2-2 draw at the weekend at De Kuip which was very impressive and says a lot about their resilience this season. They face newcomers Sparta Rotterdam, who have started the season in a solid fashion but haven’t won in the league since the 18th of September. They have drawn plenty, but just don’t seem to be able to finish teams off. Heerenveen haven’t lost since the 20th of August and there’s a terrific attitude amongst the team this season. They’ve netted in every away match this season and have scored 13 in their last 5 on their travels in all competitions. They should be too good here.
Troyes v Valenciennes – Troyes win
Troyes let us down last weekend with a defeat on the road, but they are back in front of their own fans where they have been strong this season. They have won three consecutive matches here and should be able to make it four. They sit 5th in the league and are unbeaten since the middle of September and should be able to make a bold bid to return to Ligue 1 this season. They’ve shipped just one goal in four matches which suggests that if they strike first here, it might be enough. Valenciennes haven’t been bad this season, but just three wins all season hasn’t lifted them as high in the standings as they would have liked. Worryingly, they’ve lost three of the last five (Two of them quite heavily) and haven’t kept a clean sheet in five games. Troyes should edge this one.
