Both Teams to Score Betting Tips for Saturday 20th August at 9/1

Our both teams to score tip for Saturday afternoon is a 4-fold from the English Football League and the bet comes in at odds of 9.3/1 with Coral.

Plenty of action as always from across the divisions this weekend and we’ve picked out four matches from the Football League in which we believe both sides will find the back of the net and give us a winning bet on the both teams to score coupon.

BTTS Tips for Saturday 20th August

Huddersfield v Barnsley

If there’s one thing the opening few games have taught us, don’t underestimate either of these sides. Barnsley have picked up six from a possible nine but they’ve scored seven goals during that time and Connor Hourihane is fast becoming one of the best midfielders in the Championship. Paul Heckingbottom want individual errors eradicated from his side but when you’re free-scoring, the consequences are significantly reduced. The Tykes managed to give away not one, but two penalties away against QPR but weren’t made to pay following Josh Scowen’s late winner. Huddersfield shocked everyone with a superb victory against Newcastle. They followed it with a 1-1 draw at Villa and they’ve easily brushed off a very difficult start to the season. The Wagner revolution is exciting and produces goals, the same should occur here.

Scunthorpe v Gillingham

It’s been a decent start to the season for both of these sides and they sit locked together in the table. Seven points from a possible nine is not to be sniffed at. Gillingham beat Southend twice within a week (1-3 both times) and saw off Bury (2-1) before Swindon’s game plan was enough to earn them a 1-1 draw. Justin Edinburgh’s side certainly have goals in them and should find the back of the Glanford Park net. Scunthorpe also bring the goals with them and come here off the back of a 2-1 victory at AFC Wimbledon. They’ve also come from 2-0 down to draw with Fleetwood and beat Bristol Rovers 3-1 on the opening day after a terrific second half display. Paddy Madden is still missing but in Tom Hopper and Kevin Van Veen they have goalscorers and with support from new midfield signing Josh Morris they will find the back of the net.

Hartlepool v Notts County

Craig Hignett has got his pools side playing entertaining football and they’ve started the season well. All three of their games so far have ended with BTTS. They were involved in an entertaining 3-3 draw with Crewe in midweek and back at home they should be able to spread cheer to the newly named Northern Gas and Power Stadium. Summer signing Padraig Amond got on the scoresheet which is a huge positive and he’ll be looking to kick on against an often generous Notts County defence. John Sheridan said his side are getting closer to where they want to be but they are yet to find an elusive three points and this looks a difficult assignment. They have netted in their last couple of games though and carry a threat. They just can’t keep them out, but neither can Pools.

Plymouth v Mansfield

Derek Adam’s side finally got off the mark for the season as they saw off Notts County on Tuesday night thanks to a 2-1 win. It’s taken a while for the Pilgrims to shrug off the play-off hangover and there have been mass changes in personnel over the summer. They have goals in the side though and they should give the Mansfield defence some trouble at Home Park. Jake Jervis grabbed a goal midweek and they’ll be hoping his strike partner Jimmy Spencer can also get off the mark. It’s been a good start for Adam Murray and Mansfield who are riding high in the table at this early stage of proceedings. They’ve won two and draw one of their opening three games. They won a 2-3 thriller on the opening day and although they kept a clean sheet in midweek this will be trickier to keep the home side out.
