Arsenal v Hull City Betting Tips and Predictions – FA Cup 20/02/16

Arsenal vs Hull City betting tips and FA Cup predictions for this weekend’s live TV FA Cup match kicking off at 12.45pm on Saturday 20th February.

Arsenal take on Hull City in the FA Cup for the third season in a row and I have three football tips for this Fifth Round tie and the best odds for each bet.

Arsenal vs Hull City Predictions

As well as beating Hull three seasons on the trot, the Gunners are looking to win the competition three season on the trot too. They beat Hull in the 2014 final and knocked them out last season on their way to the 2015 trophy. After their injury time winner against Leicester last weekend spirits are high in the Arsenal camp and they are odds on to continue their winning streak here.

Hull themselves have been impressive this season. Steve Bruce has led them to the top of the Championship table as they look to return to the top flight at the first time of asking. They've been scoring plenty and defensively they've been excellent, only Middlesbrough can boast a better defensive record in the Championship this season. That being said, they were soundly beaten by Manchester City in the Carling Cup earlier this season so despite their league form this game could be too big a step up in quality for the Tigers to progress.

Hull completely changed their starting eleven for their Fourth Round victory against Bury and could make changes to their starting XI against Arsenal too with tough games against Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday coming up. Similarly, with the Champions League game against Barcelona on Tuesday night, the hosts could rest a few too. Last week’s hero Danny Welbeck might start this one and Theo Walcott and Mathieu Flamini could also return to the Arsenal starting line-up against Hull in the FA Cup. David Ospina is likely to start in net in place of Petr Cech. As for Hull, they don't have any new injury concerns but will be without Chuba Akpom who scored a hattrick in the last round, as he is on loan at the club from the Gunners so Abel Hernandez should continue up front. Hernandez has been in great form this season, scoring 16 goals, and he'll be a threat to the Arsenal defence.

Arsenal have a great record against the Tigers, I’m predicting that run should continue here and comfortably so. There's no value in going for the straight home win, the best odds are 4/7 for the Gunners to progress here, so instead opt for Arsenal to win both halves.

My first Arsenal vs Hull City prediction is for Arsenal to win both halves at the best odds of 16/5 with Coral.

Theo Walcott came off the bench to score the equaliser in the Valentine's Day clash with the Foxes and he should start this one. He might get the nod to play up front if Welbeck isn't risked to start and Olivier Giroud is rested; regardless, wherever he plays his pace will cause Hull trouble and he's a good shout to score anytime at 15/8 with Coral.

My second weekend football betting tip for Arsenal vs Hull City in the FA Cup is Theo Walcott to score anytime. The best odds for Walcott to score are 15/8 at Coral.

With Hull being top of the Championship and having a great defensive record my next football tip might surprise you but I think the Gunners could get a few here. Both sides will make changes but Arsenal's second string are a match for most never mind their first and at 11/1 I don't think 3-0 to the home side for a correct score tip sounds too unreasonable.

My Arsenal v Hull score prediction for the FA Cup this weekend is Arsenal to win 3-0. The best odds for a 3-0 Arsenal win are 11/1 with Paddy Power.
