Bristol City to win away at Colchester

We start this week’s accumulator with the League One Leaders. Bristol City had a setback last weekend losing against Sheffield United but they bounced straight back in midweek with victory over Peterborough. They now sit five points clear at the top of the standings and will be hoping to consolidate that gap against lowly Colchester. The Essex club have struggled all season and currently sit in the relegation zone. They have lost seven out of their last eight home matches and will need to improve on their own patch if they are going to survive this term. However with Bristol City in town Colchester’s improvement will have to wait until their next game.

 

Sheffield United to beat Coventry

These are two big clubs in League One and while Sheffield United are doing their best this season to move back up the divisions, Coventry are just trying hard to avoid another relegation. The Sky Blues sit just one point above the drop zone and are struggling to find the net. They have scored just thirty goals all season and have just a single victory in ten and will do well to get anything from inform United. The Blades have won three on the bounce scoring nine in the process and haven't written off their own chances of automatic promotion. To achieve this goal they need to keep winning and they have a great opportunity to do that against a side in such poor form.

 

Bury to beat Hartlepool

Pre-season ante-post favourites Bury have had a frustrating season. They started the campaign well but have struggled to find any consistency. They sit just outside the play-offs at present and will be hoping for a win this weekend against bottom of the table Hartlepool to enhance their chances of promotion. Pool are having all sorts of problems this term with a failed takeover off the field and just six league wins on it. They sit seven points from safety and relegation to the Conference is looking like a real reality for next season unless they can find some form or luck from somewhere. However they haven’t won away since October and I fully expect Bury to take the points.

 

Burton to win away at Dagenham

Both of these clubs have been in impressive form recently. Dagenham fell into the drop zone not too long ago but a current five game unbeaten run has seen them put a gap between themselves and the bottom two and although I expect their good form to continue I think that they may struggle against high flying Burton. Albion haven't lost a match since November and look a solid bet to achieve promotion. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has his side playing some good football and he bases that on a solid defence that has conceded just five times in twelve matches and should have enough to come away with the three points in this one.

 

Shrewsbury to win away at Tranmere

These two were both relegated from League One last term and would have had aspirations to bounce back up at the first attempt. Shrewsbury are having a great season and currently sit top of the table and anything but automatic promotion would now be seen as a disappointment. Tranmere on the other hand have struggled to adapt to life in League Two. They sit just a single point above the drop zone and are in real danger of back to back relegations unless they can put a run of good form together. I think that they should just have enough to stay up under experienced manager Micky Adams but that survival bid will have to wait until next week as Shrewsbury will hopefully be winning the 5th leg of our accumulator.
