It’s been an inconsistent season for both of these sides. Many people expected Wolves to kick on and spend the majority of the season camped in the play-off spots, but it hasn’t quite happened that way.

 

Kenny Jackett’s side have failed to find the consistency they would have liked, but they did pick up three points at an improving Rotherham on Saturday. It means they’re now unbeaten in four games and they sit 14th in the table.

 

Sitting one place behind them are Nottingham Forest, who similarly have struggled to put together any sort of run. There have been highlights, such as beating arch rivals Derby County last month and they looked impressive when convincingly seeing off Fulham at the City Ground at the weekend.

 

Until the victory against the Rams, Dougie Freedman was under pressure and the fans were getting a bit restless. The former Palace manager needs to sort out the away form as they’ve lost their last four games on the road. They’ve also only scored one goal in their last four matches on the road and it’s something he’ll be looking to turn around sooner rather than later.

 

Nelson Oliveira has been a shining light this season and they’ll be looking to add him to the squad permanently next season, but the Portuguese International is likely to be snapped up by another club if Forest find themselves fighting at the wrong end of the table. Oliveira and Mendes have both shown signs of quality since arriving in the East Midlands and will bring plenty of goals and chances.

 

Forest always seem to be amidst an injury crisis and they will be looking to extend the loan of Liam Feeney in the centre of midfield as he has been an important part of the squad in recent weeks.

 

For my match result prediction, I’m backing it to a fairly even match. Both sides are next to each other in the table and both teams have started to pick up results of late. Nottm Forest have won three of their last four whilst Wolves are unbeaten in four. The home side have drawn three of their last four and I think this one might make it four out of five.
