Football Accumulator Tips this Weekend
Bournemouth v Everton – Everton to win
We start this week’s accumulator tip in the Premier League. Bournemouth achieved promotion to the top flight for the first time in May which is a great achievement but an even bigger one would be staying in the Premier league. They play some fantastic football and are a joy to watch, however that could well also be their undoing. If they want to extend their stay in this division, they need to strengthen their defence. They have conceded fifteen goals in their last five matches and have taken just a single point in that time. They come up against an Everton side who are a match for any other team on their day. In the Toffee's last three victories they have scored thirteen goals and that goal threat is why I believe it will be three more points to the Merseysiders.
Huddersfield v Middlesbrough – Middlesbrough to win
These two clubs look to have very different ambitions this season. Huddersfield are hoping to stay in the Championship but after a run of just one victory in nine games they are sitting just outside the relegation zone on goals scored. They are another side who are shipping too many goals and have conceded at least two in each of their last five matches. They face a Middlesbrough side who are aiming for promotion to the Premier League and Boro go into our footy coupon. They currently sit in third position and have four out of their last five matches. Manager Aitor Karanka has retained a strong squad since last season’s play-off final heartache against Norwich and winning matches like this will go a long way in helping the club achieve automatic promotion.
Burton v Colchester – Burton to win
We continue this weekend’s football accumulator in League One. Since promotion as League Two champions last season Burton have more than held their own in this higher tier. They have been in the top six all season and have an eye on back to back promotions. Manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has made his team difficult to beat and had a fantastic victory against promotion favourites Wigan on Tuesday. Colchester only retained their place in this division with a victory on the last day of last season. This season is starting to look just as tough and a similar achievement could be difficult to match this time around. They have by far the worst defensive record in the league and lost to rock bottom Crewe on Tuesday. A home win looks like the safest bet in this one.
Hartlepool v Oxford – Oxford to win
So far this season it has been a strong campaign for Oxford United. They have lost just two league matches since March and look like real promotion contenders under manager Michael Appleton. Both Kemar Roofe and Liam Sercombe have found the net nine times this term and both will be hoping to make it double figures with a win against struggling Hartlepool. Pool only just escaped the drop last season and they could well face another battle this term unless they can improve their form quickly. They have won just three times in their last fifteen league outings which is relegation form. They will find it difficult to contain a confident Oxford side who have only failed to score once away from home all season and could finish the weekend top of the league.
Northampton v Yeovil – Northampton to win
We finish this weekend’s footy acca tip with Northampton Town. Despite problems off the field they have lost just once in their last fourteen league matches and have risen to third in the table. Striker Marc Richards has been banging in the goals and has already hit double figures this season. Yeovil are having another awful campaign. In May 2013 The Glovers were celebrating the greatest day in the club’s history after securing promotion to the Championship. However, since then the Somerset club have suffered two successive relegations and currently sit at the bottom of League Two. They have won just twice all season and have failed to record a victory in eleven. All this points to another three points to Northampton.
