Weekend Accumulator Tip

Everton to beat Swansea

Everton have had a slow start to the season but are starting to show signs of improvement. They have tightened up a defence that conceded thirteen goals in five matches to concede just four in the last four games. They are also looking good going forward and their free flowing football could cause Swansea some problems. The Swans had their first win in six against Leicester last weekend but lost in midweek to Liverpool and haven't won away from home since the opening day. I expect The Toffee's rise up the table to continue with a solid home win.

Wolves to beat Birmingham

After storming to The League One title back in May, Wolves have carried the same good form into this seasons Championship campaign and sit joint top at present. They have lost just two league matches all season and are eyeing up back to back promotions. They come up against a Birmingham side who are in shocking form after last week’s 8-0 home defeat to Bournemouth. New Blues manager Gary Rowett will be looking to steady the ship but I think that they will come up short against one of The Championships form sides in this Midlands derby.

Notts County to beat Walsall

Notts County have won their past six matches and haven't lost in the League since August. They currently occupy a play-off position and I think that the 10/1 still on offer for them to secure promotion this term is very generous. They come up against a Walsall side who are struggling to find any kind of consistency this term. The Saddlers have won just the once in the past 5 league matches and it will be a surprise to see them pick up anything from this one.

Plymouth to win away at Burton

After Burtons great start to this campaign they have lost their last three home matches in all competitions. They have now lost ambitious manager Gary Rowett to Birmingham and what looked like being a promising season is starting to look a little unsteady. They still sit third but come up against a Plymouth side who have won five out of their last six matches. Argyle have conceded just eight goals in the league all season and currently sit in a play-off position. Another victory here will take Plymouth above Burton and improve their own promotion chances.

Newport to win away at Hartlepool

Newport are currently in great form and have lost just the once in the league since August. They travel to a Hartlepool side who presently sit at the bottom of League Two. Pool have won just three League matches this term and have scored just ten goals and a season long struggle to avoid relegation looks a certainty. Newport are heading in the opposite direction and if they do have promotion aspirations for the season ahead then this is the kind of match that they need to win.
