Over 2.5 Goals Accumulator Tips this Weekend

Hull City v Leeds United

Hull confirmed their place in the play-offs midweek with a win at Reading. They know they can’t catch the top three, but Steve Bruce will demand the most from his squad. The Tigers have hit two in their last three matches and have kept just a single clean sheet in eight. They have plenty of goals in them, but with Alex Bruce and Harry Maguire at the back, they always look to have a mistake in them. Leeds are playing well at the moment. Steve Evan’s side are having an end of season flourish and whilst it means nothing for this campaign, it increases positivity around the club ahead of next season. Their last three matches have all gone over 2.5 and they haven’t kept a clean sheet in eight games.

Charlton v Brighton

Charlton are down. They will playing League One football next season after a run of four without a win. They were playing quite well at the Valley and possibly looked like they have a chance of escaping, but they slipped into old habits. They will playing with a little more freedom and there’s every chance they could get on the scoresheet here. Brighton have won each of their last three away matches 2-1 and have hit nine goals in their last two home matches. They are four short of Burnley in terms of goal difference and will sniff a chance to put a few past a beleaguered Charlton Athletic.

Gillingham v Shrewsbury

Two sides who need the points for very different reasons. Shrewsbury are better away from home and will fancy their chances of nicking something here and all but ensuring their safety. There have been eight goals in their last two away matches and they’ve not kept a clean sheet in eight. They’ve also scored in each of their last 10 games which is a worry for Gillingham, who have been a little inconsistent of late. Three games without a clean sheet and two straight home defeats. Justin Edinburgh will be desperate to put that right and his side have plenty of firepower.

Bristol Rovers v Exeter

Bristol Rovers were restricted by Stevenage in midweek and it was a rare blank for Darrell Clarke’s men. They have a South West clash with Exeter, who have been in decent form. Prior to their trip to the Lamex, The Gas have had six consecutive matches in which Over 2.5 goals would have landed. They’ve hit nine goals in their last four home matches and should be able to get a couple against an Exeter side who ended their unbeaten run at the hands of Mansfield in midweek (2-3) Exeter have goals in them, they’ve also hit nine in their last four away games and this should be a really entertaining tie. Matty Taylor and Rory Gaffney have goals in them for the home side whilst Olly Watkins has been a revelation for the away side.

Mansfield v Barnet

Mansfield hit five here against Notts County last weekend and they then followed it up with a 3-2 victory at Exeter. They have been decent on the road this season, but have leaked too many goals at home. They seem to be in good spirits though and 13 goals in five matches gives you hope they’ll net a few here. Barnet have been better at the Hive this season and scored three against Notts County in midweek. They were beaten 4-2 by Morecambe last time out on the road, Morecambe then got hit for seven on Tuesday. They average over a goal a game away from home and 57% of their matches have gone Over 2.5 goals on their travels.
