Over 2.5 Goals Accumulator Tip for Today’s Football

It may be the end of the traditional 3pm kick offs for another season, but there’s still plenty of action around Europe with plenty of opportunities to pick out the high scoring matches.

Barnsley v Walsall

This 17:30 kick off is the first leg of the League One Play-Offs and it should be one to watch. Walsall boss Jon Whitney has vowed that his side will not change their attacking approach to games as it proved effective so far. The Saddlers had two inside 30 minutes against Fleetwood and then hit five against neighbours Port Vale at the weekend. They are creating chances and taking them and will give the Barnsley defence a hard time. The Tykes have hardly been goal shy themselves – hitting four against Wigan and drawing 2-2 with Colchester on the penultimate week of the regulation season. Tom Bradshaw and Sam Winnall will both be on the field and they are strikers in form. Ashley Fletcher is also a nuisance and will not give the Walsall defence a moments rest. It’s sure to be an entertaining affair.

AC Milan v Roma

20 points separate these two sides as we approach the end of the Serie A season. It’s the final set of fixtures and Roma are guaranteed a qualification spot for next season’s Champions League. AC Milan sit 7th and can move up a place with a victory here, but cannot catch 5th place Fiorentina. The away side are the highest scorers in the league with 80 goals this campaign whilst the hosts have a paltry 48 by comparison. They are averaging a goal and a half a game at home though and their last outing here ended 3-3. Four of Roma’s last five games have ended with three or more goals and although they are now undefeated in 16 games, they’ve only kept two clean sheets in eight, but those have both been at home.

Napoli v Frosinone

Sticking with the final week of fixtures in Serie A, Napoli may have missed out on the title, but they’ve been entertaining throughout. They’re the second highest scorers in the league, just four shy of Roma, who have netted 80 times. They have the best home form in the league and have netted in their last ten here. Frosinone are the visitors and they haven’t been able to keep a clean sheet away from home in the last 18 attempts. They have been involved in some high scoring games on the road recently, netting in the last three. It ended 5-1 to Napoli when these met earlier in the season and it could be an end of season goal-fest. Napoli have won their last four home games – 3-1. 3-0, 6-0 and 2-1 whilst Frosinone’s last four away games finished 4-0, 1-2, 5-1 and 3-3.

Reims v Lyon

The final round of Ligue 1 fixtures kick off on Saturday night and there aren’t many which scream goals, but this one could be an entertaining watch. Lyon have had a fantastic finish to the season with six wins from eight. They’ve netted 10 times in their last four away matches and three of the four have gone over 2.5. They’ve also hit 12 goals in their last three games and could get a few more here. Reims have conceded in their last 14 home matches and scored in their last two. Three of their last four have also gone over 2.5 including a 2-3 defeat last time out to Montpellier. They are capable of scoring goals here though, having hit four past Bordeaux in April.

Leverkusen v Ingolstadt

This match in the Bundesliga is a 14:30 kick off and should be eventful. Leverkusen have cemented third place and can play with freedom here. They’ve netted 53 times in their 33 matches so far and should be able to add to that total against an Ingolstadt team who don’t travel well. The home side have scored in each of their last 11 Bundesliga matches and in each of their last five here. Ingolstadt have conceded in each of their last nine away games and it’s seven conceded in four away trips. Don’t expect them to win here, but they’ll certainly play their part, but Leverkusen could easily get all three of the goals we’re looking for. Their last four consecutive goals would have landed the bet, whilst the same can be said the last three Ingolstadt games.
