Forest made numerous changes in midweek and came through a potential banana skin of a tie against League One Millwall. Jamie Paterson and Lars Veldwijk were on the scoresheet and boss Phillipe Montanier has insisted the latter still has a part to play this season. He certainly looks more effective than summer signing Apostos Vellios who missed from the spot last week.
Forest have been hugely entertaining this season and despite frustrating inconsistencies, they always provide goals and often let them in at the other end. This match rarely produces goal though with very few in the last five meetings. Just seven goals across those ties and just three in three suggest this one should be low scoring, but recent form suggests otherwise.
They are undefeated here against Leeds since 2011.
Forest have scored 10 goals across their six matches so far this season and although there are doubts over the fitness of Britt Assombalonga, I expect them to find the net here. Assombalonga could join Danny Fox, Dexter Blackstock, Matty Fryatt and Jack Hobbs on the sidelines.
Forest signed a new goalkeeper this week as Vladmir Stojkovic joined from Maccabi Haifa, but Phillipe Montanier said he will make a decision on his number one during the International Break. Oliver Burke has been linked with a move away, but the young winger will continue to light up the Championship as part of the Forest squad in the meantime. Can Forest make it a hattrick of 4-3 wins at home here? It’s a longshot, but they are going to take some stopping going forward.

There was relief for Garry Monk and the Leeds fans last weekend as the Whites took all three points back from Hillsborough. Not only a victory in a local-ish derby but also a clean sheet. A huge boost for Monk who was rumoured to be just another defeat away from being dismissed. Expectations have been heightened now and they will be expected to kick on.
The season had started slowly with a damaging defeat to QPR on the opening day, but credit to the former Swansea coach who stuck to his guns and insisted his side weren’t far away from getting it right. New signing Marcus Antonsson looks a real threat since his arrival from Kalmar. Strikers can often be hit or miss when signed from Scandinavia, but Antonsson looks like he’ll have a very important role of play in the side this season. The under-pressure Chris Wood also found the target last weekend and they could be a lethal combination if they continue to be paired together. They’ve hit five in five between them.
11 new faces have walked through the Elland Road door this summer, so it was always going to take time to gel. There are finally signs of Monk getting that right. The upcoming International break will them to chance to regroup and build up to another busy period in the Championship.
Pontus Jansson and Sol Bamba started in midweek, but it looks like Liam Cooper and Kyle Bartley will be preferred here. Tyler Denton scored a scorcher in midweek and will be pushing for a start, but Charlie Taylor has been an ever-present and is unlikely to be dislodged from the side.

Forest have won both of their home games 4-3 and have relied on late goals in both of them. Leeds might not be quite so soft at the back and provide a sterner challenge.
