Football Accumulator Tips 22nd April 2016
Las Palmas v Espanyol – Las Palmas win
Espanyol were in action last Friday and they did nothing to ease their faint relegation worries as they collapsed at the hands of Levante. The win moved the hosts off the bottom, but did nothing for Espanyol, who furthered their wretched away form this season. It’s no win in four games for the visitors and this is a tough ask. Las Palmas are handy at home. They’ve lost recently to Real Madrid and Barcelona, but they were both by a single goal and they managed to find the net against both of them. They’ve won five of the last eight games in La Liga and are having a decent end to the season. They’ve won seven times here this season and put four past Getafe and a couple past Valencia recently. They’ve only conceded 17 goals in 17 home matches and will be hard to beat here.
Best odds for Las Palmas to win are 13/10 at William Hill.
Nice v Reims – Nice win
A shorter price this one as Nice host Reims at the Allianz Riviera. Nice’s home form has been excellent and their quest for a European place is well and truly on. They blew away Rennes here last time out with a Hatem Ben Arfa hat-trick and even if the mercurial Frenchman isn’t on song, I still feel they have enough. The draw away at Lyon was a decent result considering the form that Bruno Genesio’s side are in. They’ve conceded just a single goal in their last three home matches, but have faced two of the bottom three. Reims sit 4th bottom and are struggling. They’re not so bad at home, but they’ve picked up just a single point in their last four away matches and have shipped 10 goals in that time.
Best odds for Nice to beat Remis are 17/20 at Sportingbet.
Brest v Laval – Brest win
Another home win in France, this time In Ligue 2 as Brest host Laval. Laval’s away form is atrocious where they haven’t been able to claim a single win in 10 games on the road. Brest sit in a comfortable 9th position but have been decent here. As hosts, they’ve only lost three times all season and one of them was to Red Star. Red Star are away specialists who have picked up 33 points on their travels this season and prefer to be away from Paris. They’ve won two of their last five games here, but have had tricky fixtures, hosting Dijon and Le Havre recently. Laval have picked up a few draws on the road recently, but they’ve largely been against poor sides and I wouldn’t fancy them to get anything here.
Best odds for Brest to beat Laval are 23/20 at Bet Victor.
Evian v Le Havre – Le Havre win
There’s still plenty of play for in Ligue 2 and Bob Bradley’s side are looking upwards. Despite their loss at Nancy last weekend, they can still be positive going into the final set of games and they start with a journey to out-of-form Evian. The hosts sit in 18th and are looking to stave off any relegation worries, but they’ve collected just four points from eight matches and this is a big ask. It’s no win in 9 and they’ve collected maximum points just four times here all season. They only sides they’ve managed to get anything against have been positioned 10th or below in the table whilst Le Havre sit 5th. The visitors aren’t mind-blowingly good on their travels, situated in their Northerly position, they have some long commutes, but they should be able to take maximum points home here.
Best odds for Le Harve to beat Evian are 7/4 at Bet Victor.
Fortuna Sittard v Go Ahead Eagles – Go Ahead Eagles win
The best named side in the Dutch second tier are in action and come into this in tremendous form. The Eagles have only lost one of their last 10 matches and should be able to get the better of a side who have lost their last three matches. In those 10 games, the away side have conceded just nine goals and are having an exceptional end to the season. They’ve also scored nine goals in their last four away matches including a topsy-turvy 3-4 win over Almere. Sittard have the weakest home form, winning just four times in front of their own fans all season and this should be another defeat.
Best odds for Go Ahead Eagles to beat Fortuna Sittard are 4/6 at bet365.
