Saturday Accumulator Tips
West Brom v Peterborough Betting Tip
West Brom to win
We start this week’s football accumulator tip in the FA Cup 4th Round. After surviving a third round scare against Bristol City, West Brom will hope for an easier time against League One Peterborough. The Baggies have lost just once on their own patch since October and with a seven-point gap to the bottom three they can afford to play a strong team in the cup. Peterborough’s main ambition for the season is to gain promotion to the Championship. They were looking strong under new manager Graham Westley but a run of just two wins in eight have seen them drop out of the play-offs and I can’t see things improving this weekend against a side capable of going a long way in this competition.
Bury v Hull Betting Tip
Hull to win
Just two seasons ago Hull City graced the FA Cup final and held a 2-0 lead against Arsenal. Sadly for the Tigers that match ultimately ended in brave defeat which was then followed by relegation from the Premier League the very next season. Hull have managed to keep highly respected manager Steve Bruce who has guided his side to sit top of the Championship after a run of four wins in a row. They come up against a Bury side who after a promising start to life in League One have struggled in recent weeks. With just a single victory in six they have slid down the table and they need to find some form quickly if they want to get back into the promotion race but I can’t see that happening this weekend against high flying Hull.
Coventry v Scunthorpe Betting Tip
Coventry to win
After their best first half of a season for over 30 years Coventry have come unstuck in recent weeks recording just two wins in ten games. This has seen them slip to fifth and six points behind the automatic promotion places. They need to get back to winning ways before they lose more ground on the top two and they won’t get many better chances to do that than this weekend when Scunthorpe come to town. The Iron lost their last away match 5-0 to then goal shy Blackpool and have since parted company with manager Mark Robins after a run of just two wins in eight. This is a meeting of two clubs who need to find that winning formula again and I believe The Sky Blue’s extra class will show in this home win.
Luton v Notts County Betting Tip
Luton to win
We continue this week’s football accumulator bet in League Two. It has been a very disappointing campaign so far for Luton Town. Fancied by many to be pushing for promotion, the Hatters find themselves in the bottom half and their inconsistency cost manager John Still his job. He has since been replaced by Nathan Jones who has overseen two matches winning one and drawing one without conceding a goal so things could be improving for the Kenilworth Road faithful. They take on a Notts County side who are also struggling in the wrong half of the table. They have a poor away record winning just two in twelve. These are two clubs who are too big to be sitting in the lower regions of League Two and I believe that Luton can continue their mini revival with another three points on Saturday.
Tranmere v Torquay Betting Tip
Tranmere to win
We finish this weekend’s accumulator tip in the National League. Tranmere suffered the worst moment in their history with relegation from the football league last season. They were favorites to bounce straight back up but struggled in the first half of the season to put a winning run together. However since Christmas they have won four out of five and now sit just two points outside the play-offs. Tranmere will hope to continue that form and achieve promotion at the first attempt as this league can be very cruel. Just ask Torquay. After relegation from League Two 2 years ago the Gulls find themselves second from bottom and in danger of dropping even further down the football pyramid. They have won just one in twelve matches and are nine points from safety and things could well get worse this weekend if Tranmere confirm the form and bring home our winning accumulator.
