Cardiff to beat Huddersfield

We start this week’s accumulator tip with Cardiff City. The Bluebirds have had a solid start to the campaign and are looking like possible promotion contenders. They are unbeaten so far after five matches and will be looking for their third victory on the bounce. Russel Slade's side are growing in confidence and will fancy themselves to beat lowly Huddersfield. The Terriers have had a tough start this term and still await their first league victory. Goal scoring has been a problem for them so far and they will need to put that right if they want to avoid a relegation battle. However I don't see that happening this weekend and I expect Cardiff to take all three points.

 

Chesterfield to beat Colchester

Chesterfield have had a fine start to the season and were on course to be sitting second in the league table until a second half collapse saw them surrender a two goal league and lose 3-2 to Wigan last weekend. Manager Dean Saunders will expect his side to get that result out of their system at the first attempt and they have a great chance to do that by beating winless Colchester. The Essex club are yet to get going this term and look to have a season of struggle ahead of them. On average they are conceding two goals a game and unless they improve their defence dramatically I can only see one result which is a home win for the Spireites.

 

Gillingham to beat Blackpool

After 25 away matches without victory Blackpool finally gave their travelling fans something to cheer about last weekend with a long awaited win at Scunthorpe. They will want to build on that success and try and to gain some momentum but unfortunately for the seasiders they come up against top of the table and in form Gillingham. The Gills have had a great start to the season and remain unbeaten so far this campaign. They have beaten promotion hopefuls Sheffield Utd & Wigan on their own patch already and will fancy themselves to record another three points this weekend and I fully expect them to do that.

 

Exeter to beat Hartlepool

Both of these clubs have flirted with relegation in recent seasons but will be hoping for better this time around. After last season’s great escape Hartlepool started the campaign with three straight victories and a successful season looked possible. However three consecutive defeats since then have dampened confidence and manager Ronnie Moore will have to use all his experience to turn things around. Exeter currently sit in the play-offs and last weekend’s fantastic 4-0 win against high flying Leyton Orient was a real show of intent for Paul Tisdale's men and they will want to back that great performance up with another three points this weekend.

 

Luton to win away at Notts County

We conclude this week’s bet with Luton Town. The Hatters were one of the favourites for promotion before the season started but failed to find a win in their opening five league contests. They finally put that right last weekend with a 3-1 win at Cambridge and will be looking to build on that win to help themselves move up the table. Notts County started this campaign with a victory but have only recorded a single point since. The Magpies have a whole host of new signings this term that are taking time to gel and I fully expect Luton to take advantage of that by winning the three points and bringing home our winning accumulator.
