Leicester v Norwich – Leicester to win

We start this weekend’s football accumulator tip with top of the table Leicester City. Few would have expected that 5000/1 shots Leicester City would be top of the Premier League with just 12 matches to go. It has been a season to remember for Foxes fans under manager Claudio Ranieri and they are still serious title challenges despite their devastating last minute defeat to rivals Arsenal two weeks ago. Leicester will want to bounce back at the first attempt in front of their own fans and have a great chance to do just that against struggling Norwich. The Caneries have been near the bottom of the table all season and currently sit just outside the relegation zone on goal difference. Gillingham v Chesterfield – Gillingham to win

Gillingham are another club who are having a fantastic campaign. They are the highest scorers in League One and also have the best home record in the league. A win in this match could take them into an automatic promotion position and few would back against them getting the three points against lowly Chesterfield. Last season’s play-off losers have found things more difficult this time around. They have changed managers twice since last season and that has not helped the Spireites for consistency this term. They are currently just a single point above the drop zone after a run of just a single victory in six league outings. They have the third worst defensive record in the league and will struggle to stop the free scoring Gill's.

Wigan v Bury – Wigan to win

We continue this weekend accumulator tip bet in League One. After a slow start to the season Wigan have found their feet at this lower level and now have a good chance of becoming League One champions. Their steady rise up to second place in the table has coincided with a run of 11 league matches without defeat. They also have the best defensive home record in the division so they should have a good chance of recording another victory this weekend. Bury started the season in fine form after promotion from League Two and looked like potential top six candidates. They went an amazing 17 matches away from home without a defeat. However once that run ending Bury started to fall down the table due to a current run of eight away loses in nine matches and Wigan are more than strong enough to add more away day misery for The Shaker's.

 

Hartlepool v Northampton – Northampton to win

Northampton have had a fantastic season on the field and anything other than the League Two title may seem like a disappointment to the Cobblers faithful come the end of the campaign. Surely promotion is almost secured as it would take a major loss of form to miss out on promotion now. They are a massive 18 points clear of the play-offs after a run of sixteen wins in 17 matches. They haven't tasted defeat away from Sixfields in the league since October and should secure three more points on Saturday. Hartlepool started the season with three straight wins but they have only recorded five more in 26 matches since and are hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone. They do have games in hand on their relegation rivals which could help them but they may have to wait until next week to start their survival bid.

 

Accrington v Barnet – Accrington to win

We conclude this week’s football accumulator bet with Accrington Stanley. After starting the season as relegation favourites Stanley have proved themselves to be one of the strongest teams in League Two. They seem to have hit form at just the right time and are just three points off the automatic promotion places with two games in hand. Manager John Coleman described some of their play in their midweek win over Notts County as playing like Real Madrid. Now that may be a little farfetched but it will give the squad a lot of confidence. They come up against a Barnet side who are sitting comfortably in mid-table at present. However, it is their home form that is keeping them from falling down the table. Their away form is not so impressive as they have recorded just two away victories all season which is the second poorest in the division. All this points to a home victory.
