Football Accumulator Tips this Weekend

Crawley v Plymouth Betting Tip

After missing out on promotion in last season’s play-offs Plymouth regrouped over the summer and have been towards the top of the standings all season long. They come into this match off the back of a very good 3-0 win against fellow promotion hopefuls Mansfield. Argyle occupy second position in the League Two standings and are a massive ten points clear of the play-off spots. Surely anything other than automatic promotion would be a disappointment for the Pilgrims and this is the kind of match that should strengthen their position, and get our accumulator tip off to a winning start. They face a Crawley side who are just about keeping themselves clear of the relegation positions. They do need to find some form as recent results have been poor. A run of seven defeats in ten is a concern as was last week’s 4-1 defeat to Accrington. Unless Crawley find a lot of improvement the only result I can see is a victory for Plymouth.

Plymouth to win.

Watford v Leeds Betting Tip

Watford have had a fantastic first season back in the top flight and are clear enough of the relegation battle that they can put all their efforts into a FA Cup run. The Hornets have performed much better this term than many expected and are 12 points clear of the drop zone. They currently sit in 9th position which is a fantastic achievement for a club who have never survived a Premier League campaign before. Watford have a strong team headed by their strike duo of Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo who have already scored 22 league goals between them. Leeds travel to Vicarage Road on a poor run of just a single victory in nine matches. They are dropping down the table and are having problems off the field. It would really help the club to reach the FA Cup Quarter Final but unfortunately for the Yorkshire club I believe that Watford will be too strong for them.

Watford to win.

Burnley v Rotherham Betting Tip

After relegation from the Premier League last season, Burnley have put themselves in a great position to bounce back at the first time of asking. After a frustrating and inconsistent start to the season Sean Dyche has got his team playing some of the best football in the Championship. They have lost just once in ten matches and currently sit just two points behind an automatic promotion place. Rotherham have struggled all season and have already parted company with two managers this term. They have turned to the experience of Neil Warnock but even he may not be able to save the Miller's from the drop. They find themselves five points from safety after five matches without a win. They have the second worst defensive record in the league and all this points to a home win for our footy acca.

Burnley to win.

Oldham v Gillingham Betting Tip

We continue this weekend’s accumulator bet in League One. These two clubs are having very different campaigns. Oldham are fighting to avoid the drop into the fourth tier of English football for the first time since 1963. They are currently second from bottom and five points adrift of the safety line. They have won just once in the league in twelve matches and haven't won at home since August which is their one and only home league victory all season. They face a Gillingham side who have very possible ambitions of playing Championship football next season. Manager Justin Edinburgh has turned his side into one of the most exciting teams in the division. They sit second in the table and are the highest scorers in all four divisions and I expect them to have too much fire power for struggling Oldham.

Gillingham to win.

Northampton v Wycombe Betting Tip

We finish this weekend football acca bet in League Two. Both of these clubs find themselves in the promotion mix and will be hoping to be playing League One football next season. Last season’s losing play-off finalists Wycombe have had another strong campaign and once again find themselves in a play-of position. They have had a poor run of late that has seen them lose four from their last seven which is a concern. They do however have a good record away from home and have only conceded nine times on the road all season. Northampton are having a fantastic campaign. After a difficult start to the season off the field the Cobbler's have gone from strength to strength and sit eight points clear at the top of the table. They have won eight matches in a row and few would back against them making it nine and bringing home or winning accumulator.

Northampton to win.
