Group F Predictions & Betting Tips – Euro 2016
Portugal were the top seed for the Euro 2016 draw but in truth they are not to be feared. Austria, Hungary and Iceland will provide stiff competition for Portugal.
Austria and Iceland were very impressive in qualifying and Portugal will need Cristiano Ronaldo to be at his very best otherwise we could see an early shock when Portugal are sent home.
Euro 2016 Group F: Portugal
It will all be about Cristiano Ronaldo once again, but where would Portugal be without him? Not at Euro 2016, that’s for sure. They had a shocking start to qualifying but eventually came good, winning seven qualifiers on the bounce. Four of them were 1-0 and in a side containing Cristiano Ronaldo it is remarkable they struggle to score goals.
Euro 2016 Group F: Austria
Nine wins on the spin meant Austria had the second best record in qualifying behind England. David Alaba is their star who usually plays in midfield for his country. Up front they have a 6ft 5 striker who will be relied upon for goals. Set pieces will be key for Austria using Alaba’s delivery.
Euro 2016 Group F: Hungary
The rank outsiders for the group and 400/1 to win Euro 2016, Hungary scraped through to the play-offs where they beat Norway. In qualifying they had three managers and in a team devoid of any star players, it should be a bottom placed finish in Group F and an early plane home for Hungary.
Euro 2016 Group F: Iceland
Iceland are one of the most popular participants in Euro 2016 simple because of the achievement of getting here. Their population is just 330,000. Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson is the star man who will need to chip in with a couple of goals. If they can stay organised they might challenge Austria and Portugal for a place in the latter stages.
