Group C Predictions & Betting Tips – Euro 2016
Group C at Euro 2016 looks one of the most competitive with current World Champions Germany being joined by Poland, Ukraine and debutants Northern Ireland.
Germany will be expected to win this group but Poland and Ukraine should fancy their chances of progressing as well, Northern Ireland look to be the weakest team of the four.
Euro 2016 Group C: Germany
World Champions Germany will look to emulate Spain’s recent achievement and hold both titles and they are the current favourites to win Euro 2016. Philipp Lahm will be the big miss from their World Cup squad while the likes of Thomas Muller, Mesut Ozil and Mario Gotze will provide the attacking threat. Don’t be surprised to see the Germans lift the European Championships trophy on June 10th.
Euro 2016 Group C: Poland
Robert Lewandowski is key to Poland’s chances at Euro 2016. He’s one of the hottest strikers in Europe and his goals can fire Polska to the last 16, he was top goalscorer in qualifying. Defensively is where Poland can struggle and against Germany and Ukraine this will be a concern.
Euro 2016 Group C: Ukraine
Ukraine needed the play-offs to qualify for Euro 2016 but they were unfortunate, two 1-0 losses to Spain were by no means disgraceful results. The key to success for Ukraine are wingers Yevhen Konoplyanka and Andriy Yarmolenko who will look to cut inside and trouble defences. The Ukraine vs Poland match could decide who finishes second in Group C.
Euro 2016 Group C: Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland’s defence will be the deciding factor in their fate. Going forward they will need to rely on set pieces as there is no real creativity in the side. They have a tremendous qualifying with their organisation winning them matches and they’ll need to be well disciplined to avoid an early flight home.
