Slovakia host Northern Ireland in another international fixture with kick off scheduled for 19:45 on Saturday. This is set to be a close contested match and it’s the last friendly before both teams enter Euro 2016 so I expect a matched game here as no one wants to get a loss now.

Slovakia pulled off a surprise win over Germany midweek and I'm sure they let a lot of us down on an acca or two. They come in to this game on good form, without a loss in seven in which they have five wins they will be very confident in the way they are playing recently and will be really happy with that run of results going into the competition. They find themselves in a group alongside Wales, Russia and England so will really need to make use of this remaining friendly to get their performances up to a new level.

Northern Ireland are surprising us all so far and we are rooting for them to pull off some results this summer. Looking back at their form of late they will be very impressed, with four wins from the last six they will be full of confidence and this last game will give the players the chance to prove themselves to the boss to get a chance of them getting in the start 11. They had a good qualifying campaign so will want to keep going and try to pick some points up in the following games.

 

This is a tough game to call as both teams are quite evenly matched, I do feel Slovakia are the stronger team overall but in a friendly fixture it’s not a result I would like to try and call. They are both wanting to get a win to keep morale high and what better way to do that with banging a few goals in.
