England vs Wales Betting Tips

Both Teams to Score6/5 at bet365.

England are clear favourites to win this one in the latest England vs Wales betting odds, but it’s tough to rule out Wales from at least getting on the scoresheet. Aside from the fact that a win over the English would be monumental for Wales, Chris Coleman has an array of Premier League players to choose from who can cause England problems. And then, of course, there’s Gareth Bale who is undoubtedly Wales’ danger man, and to keep the Real Madrid star quiet for 90 minutes is a tough ask for an England defence that has come under fire in recent weeks.

England, though, have plenty of goalscoring talent at their disposal. In Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy they have two of the top three Premier League goalscorers from last season after the pair scored 49 goals between them. Whether Roy Hodgson decides to play both up front or Vardy behind or out wide, they’ll both pose a threat to Ashley Williams and co. Then we have England’s all-time leading goalscorer and captain Wayne Rooney who despite his critics this season is likely to start and his ability from set pieces could prove crucial. So both sides possess players more than capable of scoring, and an above evens bet for both teams to score is definitely worth taking for my first England v Wales tip.

Half time/ Full time Draw/England – 15/4 at Bet Victor.

I think a tight game is on the cards here, one that I think England will win in the end but it will be a cagey affair, particularly in the first half. Wales only conceded nine goals in Euro 2016 qualifying for this tournament and they’ll be tough to break down. Eventually I do think England will breach the Welsh defence but it will take time. Despite odds of 5/6 for England to win this game, it won’t be as comfortable as that suggests but I think England’s superiority in quality across the pitch will tell in the end, so for that reason I’m backing the half time draw/full time England win for my second best bet on England vs Wales at Euro 2016.

Correct Score Tip: England to win 2-1 – 9/1 at bet365.

So a tight game for me and I doubt we’ll see plenty of goals. These two last faced each other back in 2011 in the qualification Group stages for Euro 2012, the two games saw England victorious both times but both games were close with England winning 2-0 and 1-0. This will follow a similar theme – a tight, close, low scoring game that the Three Lions will eventually do enough to win. 2-1 sounds a good shout to me and at odds of 9/1 it’s worth a bet.
