Brighton vs Leeds Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

Brighton vs Leeds predictions and betting tips for Friday night’s Championship fixture with the best odds for each bet selected by out tipster and team news and head to head stats.

Second plays fourth in the Championship as Brighton welcome Leeds to the AMEX on Friday night. We’ve got the best three betting tips for the 19:45 kick off.

Both of these sides are on terrific form coming into this. Newcastle appear to be wobbling at the top and Brighton in particular will fancy their chances of catching them. It’s always difficult to galvanise a side who have narrowly missed on promotion, but Chris Hughton has kept spirits up and made one or two crucial tweaks to his team and it’s working. The Seagulls could only draw last weekend in South Wales, but are just a point behind the Toon and if results go their way this time, they could be leading the way. There’s a clear togetherness about this side and they play eye-catching football too.

They have the best home record in the league with 20 goals and 23 points from 10 games here. They’ve also only conceded 6 goals which is the second best home defence in the league (Behind Derby). Their last clean sheet here came back at the end of October with Aston Villa and Fulham scoring here recently.

Leeds have also been rising up the table and find themselves in 4th, 7 points behind their hosts. The Whites started the season in typically inconsistent fashion, but improvements have been made and Garry Monk appears to be starting something special at Elland Road. Even madcap chairman Massimo Cellino seems satisfied. Monk announced this week that he liaises with the Italian most days and that he’s very happy with the current direction of the club. Chris Wood is scoring again and the arrival of Pontus Jansson has helped solidify a defence which regularly conceded comedy goals.

Leeds have a decent away record and come here off the back of three consecutive wins on the road. They only just edged past Rotherham last time though and will be hoping for a better second half performance this time around.

Brighton vs Leeds Predictions

Brighton are extremely difficult to beat and Leeds will be buoyed by their recent run of form. Aston Villa held the Seagulls to a draw and I think Leeds can do the same so the draw is our first Brighton vs Leeds betting tip this Friday night.

Brighton vs Leeds Correct Score Prediction

This match has a score draw written all over it. Brighton’s defence is one of the best in the league and rarely concedes more than a goal a match. Leeds have conceded 5 in 5 away, 1-1 seems likely for our second Brighton vs Leeds prediction.

Brighton vs Leeds Goalscorer Tip

Chris Wood has been in terrific form recently, but Glenn Murray saves all his goals for the home crowd. He’s one of the top scorers in the league, but hasn’t netted away from the AMEX yet. Back him to keep the run going to complete our Championship predictions for Brighton v Leeds.

Brighton vs Leeds Team News

Liam Rosenior remains a long term absentee for Chris Hughton, but the injury list is clearing. Richie Towell is back and has been playing in the Check A Trade Trophy. Beram Kayal is back in training, but may not be fit enough to play for a couple of weeks. Gaeten Bong picked up a red card last weekend and misses this.

Pablo Hernandez is the main absentee for Leeds. There are no further injury concerns. Liam Bridcutt has resumed training and may make the bench. Eunan O’Kane should be fit enough to play some part.

Brighton vs Leeds Head to Head

Brighton have won the last three matches here against Leeds. They won 4-0 here in February with a couple of goals from Tomer Hemed.

Leeds haven’t scored away at Brighton since 2012 when the sides drew 2-2.

Brighton have won 5 consecutive matches against Leeds and will be hoping to make it 6.

Brighton vs Leeds Betting Odds

Brighton head the market in this one. They are higher in the table and at home, so favouritism is expected. 9/10 is the best price available on the Seagulls.

Leeds can be backed at 7/2 whilst we fancy the draw which is available around 13/5
