Both Teams to Score Tips this Weekend

Man City v Spurs

This is always a decent fixture and both of these sides have got a lot of ground to make up on leaders Leicester. Whilst, neither of these sides will want to lose this match, I can’t see it being cagey. Man City have only failed to score once at home all season and even managed a 90th minute goal against Leicester last weekend. Spurs have been keeping clean sheets, but they have been against lower ranked teams and with Vertonghen struggling for injury, the inexperience of Kevin Wimmer might add weight to the City case. Harry Kane is always a threat and could be a thorn in the City defence. They’ve only kept a clean sheets in 31% of their home matches and they always look capable of conceding. Both teams have found the net in three of Spurs’ last four away matches, with only a limp Norwich side failing to find the net. Both teams have also scored in three of the last four meetings between these sides. You’d expect the same to happen here again. Read our full Man City v Tottenham betting tips.

Hamburg v Borussia Monchengladbach

We’re off for a rare trip to the Bundesliga for the next leg on the BTTS tip this weekend. It’s not long since the winter break and teams are slowly edging their way back into it, but one thing is noticeable, neither of these two sides has spent their time off working on defensive tactics. It’s now no clean sheet in 10 matches for the hosts as they look to improve upon the 13th position they currently occupy. Admittedly, they aren’t shipping goals left, right and centre, but they can’t seem to keep teams out. Bayern could only manage two goals here whilst Augsburg could only grab the one so they aren’t being blown away. It’s eight without a shutout for the visitors as they look to improve on their away form that has been letting them down this season. They average two points a game at home, but away, they’ve taken just 10 points all season. For a side who sit cosily in 6th in the table, their defensive record is alarming with 35 goals conceded. They did hit five last time out though, so despite questions at the back, they can always try to outscore their opponent.

PEC Zwolle v Feyenoord

Feyenoord still have plenty of problems to work through, not least that they are about to break an unwanted club record as they stare a 7th consecutive defeat in the face. They started the season positively, but a lack of goals and defensive naivety have led to a barren run. Luckily, away from home, they appear to be still scoring goals. They’ve hit five goals in their last four away matches, whereas it’s at home, they are really struggling to entertain the crowd with recent blanks against ADO Den Haag & PSV. For a side in such rotten form, they remain in 4th and have the 3rd highest goal tally in the division. In my mind, I always see PEC Zwolle as a thoroughly decent home side and they have taken 59% of their points here this season, scoring 57% of their goals at home. There have been 14 goals in their last three home matches and we’re hoping that trend can continue here.

Estoril v Tondela

Our final selection for the BTTS 4-fold betting tip on Sunday comes from the Portuguese top flight with two struggling sides meeting. It’s now 18 games since Tondela last kept a clean sheet, but they haven’t been suffering disappointment at the other end either, scoring in their last five consecutive matches. They’ve also netted in each of their last four away matches. The stats show that they’ve only scored nine goals away from home all season, but seven of those have been in the last four matches, so they’re definitely on the road to improvement. Estoril are not a great home team, winning just 40% of their games here, but they have scored in their last three here and conceded in their last four overall. This one won’t be the glamour tie of the weekend, but it should have goals for both sides.
