Both Teams to Score Tips 10th April

Torino v Atalanta

Earlier in the season, Atalanta couldn’t buy a goal, but although their average for the campaign is low, they have improved in front of goal recently. They’ve scored in four of their last six and although they failed to net against Juventus and Lazio, I think they can find a way past Torino. They’ve scored two in each of their last couple of matches and scored on the road against Carpi and Hellas Verona. Torino have been averaging 1.34 goals a game at home this season and even found the net when Juventus came here a few weeks back. They’ve had some high scoring matches recently with a 1-2, 1-4, 3-2 and a 1-1. They’ve leaked 10 goals in their last five matches and that’s enough to make me confident that both teams will find the net here.

Nice v Rennes

Off to Ligue for our second selection. Rennes have been involved in some very high scoring games recently. I watched their 5-2 demolition of Marseille and they looked devastating going forward but vulnerable at the back. The perfect recipe for this particular bet. They’ve hit an incredible 16 goals in 5 matches now in Ligue 1 and it’s hard to see Nice keeping them out here. Although the home side kept a clean sheet here last time, they shipped four to PSG last weekend and let Troyes, Marseille and Bastia all scored past them on the Riviera. With the sides averaging 1.56 and 1.69 goals scored respectively, it should be a decent attacking game and I can see both sides netting during the 90 minutes.

Schalke v Dortmund

After the excitement of the visit of Liverpool in the Europa League, Dortmund could have asked for an easier fixture than this. Away at Schalke is always a tough fixture and they’ve been in decent form in front of their own fans. They’ve won three of the last four and scored nine goals in that time. They’ve only kept one clean sheet in that time, that was against Wolfsburg. Dortmund conceded to Liverpool on Thursday and they also failed to keep a clean sheet on their last away trip – that was against Augsburg. They’ve been scored an average of two goals a game on the road though and they have plenty of firepower. Schalke have conceded 38 goals this season and always look a little shaky at the back and it could a thoroughly entertaining game.

FC Twente v Feyenoord

FC Twente have climbed well clear of any relegation trouble. They could face further sanctions financially of course, but on the pitch, they’ve improved dramatically. They’ve been scoring plenty of goals and that’s been a real positive for a side who always tend to concede. They kept three consecutive shutouts but haven’t had a clean sheet for four matches now, conceding seven goals in that time. They had to come from two down to win last time. This is going to be harder and you can’t see them keeping a clean sheet against a rejuvenated Feyenoord. It’s five consecutive victories for the Rotterdam side since their lean spell and Dirk Kuyt is back fit and firing. They’ve conceded in three of those five and it’s likely that FC Twente will cause them a few problems.

BTTS Tip:

  • Torino v Atalanta
  • Nice v Rennes
  • Schalke v Dortmund
  • FC Twente v Feyenoord
