Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 with Preston in midweek landing BTTS once again. They are back at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon hosting Paul Lambert’s Wolves. The Scot has improved Wolves from an attacking perspective with 5 goals in the last two games. They were involved in the thrilling 4-4 draw with Fulham last weekend before taking the lead, but blowing it against Cardiff on Tuesday night. Scunthorpe v Millwall Betting Tip – BTTS.
On the road, Millwall have been very exciting to watch this season. 9 of their 10 away games have gone over 2.5 goals this season with a blank against defensively sound Bolton the only exception. Their last game on the road was a topsy-turvy encounter which finished 3-2 in favour of the Lions. Scunthorpe’s defence might not be as easy to breach as Burys, but they did ship three at Rochdale and the top of the table jitters are perhaps starting to creep in. Doncaster v Grimsby Betting Tip – BTTS.
Doncaster need to put their disappointment at Home Park behind them. Darren Ferguson’s men lost 2-0 and failed to hit the target, but it would have been a different story if Liam Mandeville hadn’t rattled the post with a late penalty. 14 of their 20 games this season have featured three goals or more. They’ve hit 7 in the last three home games giving the Keepmoat crowd plenty to cheer. They are the highest scorers in the league by some distance with 42 goals in 20 matches, but they have conceded 30 in that time. Grimsby have improved under Marcus Bignot, but were narrowly edged out by Portsmouth at the weekend. Their last away games was a very open affair and saw them defeated 3-2 at Crawley. Since Bignot took over, they’ve netted 5 times in their 2 away games and should get on the scoresheet here against a generous Donny defence.
Portsmouth v Hartlepool Betting Tip – BTTS.
Portsmouth are away specialists and have struggled for consistency at Fratton Park this season. 7 of their 9 games this season have featured three or more goals with both teams finding the net in four of the last five matches here. They’ve scored 22 goals in 9 games (helped by the 5 they hit against Barnet) and have shipped 10 goals (7 in the last 5). They face struggling Hartlepool who conceded 5 at Victoria Park last weekend.
