BTTS Tips 10th December
Rotherham v QPR
Paul Warne is still in temporary charge of Rotherham as they look to salvage something from a disaster of a season so far. They remain adrift at the bottom of the table and they have nothing to lose here. They’ve netted in three of their last five home games, only failing to find a way past leaders Newcastle and 3rd place Reading. They haven’t kept a clean sheet here since the 20th of August when they beat Brentford, but they were a very different side then. QPR lost at home to Wolves last week and will be looking to bounce back. Ian Holloway’s side have conceded 6 goals since the new boss arrived and scored three. They couldn’t find a way past Ipswich last time out, but this should be much easier. The Miller’s defence is usually particularly generous and this is the season of goodwill.
Port Vale v Northampton
Port Vale are a very decent home outfit. They tend to be strong at Vale Park and will look to pick up three points here. They don’t keep many clean sheets though. Oldham and Oxford scored twice here, Fleetwood found a way through as did Charlton, Gillingham, Millwall and many more. Their last clean sheet in the league came back in August when Rochdale failed to find the net. Northampton have gone off the boil recently and will be looking to get back to track. Unfortunately, they haven’t netted in their last three games, but they faced Bradford, Bolton and Peterborough – three of the four best defences in the league. 6 of their last 8 games on the road have seen them score and they should get chances against Port Vale to end their barren run.
4/1 for Joshua to beat Molina when you open a William Hill account using this link.
Bristol Rovers v Bury
The Gas score goals here. 6 of their 8 home games have gone over 2.5 goals and this one is likely to go the same way. Darrell Clarke’s men are looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat and early cup exit to Non-League side Barrow. They did score in that game, but their defence failed to keep the Cumbrian side out. They’ve conceded 16 goals at home and shipped 5 to Charlton in their previous outing at the Memorial Ground. Bury won’t be as ruthless as they’re looking to end a poor run of their own. David Flitcroft paid the price for their barren spell as the Shakers look to keep themselves away from relegation. They’ve conceded 21 goals in 10 away matches, but they do have the likes of James Vaughn and Tom Pope who can hurt sides.
Stevenage v Blackpool
Stevenage are one of the form sides in the division and have been playing well in recent weeks, but largely on the road. They beat Newport in midweek and are looking to make it back to back wins against Blackpool. Doncaster arrived last weekend and won 4-3 in a thrilling game. Stevenage have seen 8 of their 9 home games this season feature three or more goals and this one should go the same way. Blackpool have plenty of firepower with the likes of Kyle Vassell and Jamille Matt fully fit. Jack Redshaw also made his return in midweek. Three of Blackpool’s last four away matches have seen three or more goals and both teams scoring, so we should see plenty of excitement at the Lamex.
