Sunday’s Both Teams to Score Tips
Swansea v Man City
Swansea have picked up of late, they’ve had a decent end of the season and they’ve proved very effective here at the Liberty Stadium. They’ve won their last four matches and stuck three past Liverpool two weekends ago. Manchester City are the visitors on the final day and they’re still in the hunt for a European place. They’ve scored in each of their last seven games, but are often a bit suspect at the back. The Swans have been sharing the goals around, even Bafetimbi Gomis has got on the scoresheet recently. They’ve netted in all of their last four home games and they should give a Kompany-less defence plenty to think about. The last four fixtures between these sides have seen both sides netting with 17 goals shared across those matches. We should see some more this weekend.
Southampton v Palace
Southampton are another side playing well and it was no surprise when they saw off Manchester City recently. They’ve also beaten Liverpool here recently, after going two down and stuck three past Newcastle. Palace have had a stop-start 2016, but mainly stop. They haven’t got going and luckily for Alan Pardew, they’ve accumulated enough points in 2015 to survive comfortably. They haven’t scored in their last two away games, but Southampton always give a goal away and haven’t kept a clean sheet for 11 games. The Saints need work at the back next season, but entertainment has certainly not been in short supply at St. Marys. 56% of Palace’s away games have seen both teams find the net and this should be no different.
Everton v Norwich
Norwich’s fate was decided for them on Wednesday, despite their best efforts. Sticking four past Watford wasn’t enough to keep their heads above water and Alex Neil’s side will start next season in the second tier. They haven’t been scoring enough goals, but a combination of pressure off, the four they scored in midweek and Everton’s excuse for a defence, give me confidence that both sides will find the net here. Martinez is gone and Everton will be looking ahead to next season, they’ve been pretty open this season and it’s hard to imagine too much changing for this match. Three of their last four have seen both sides find the net and they’ve shipped 30 of their 55 goals at Goodison this season. Nathan Redmond was in fine form in midweek and he could be a very tricky customer for the Everton backline here.
Genoa v Atalanta
10th v 13th in Serie A and this is a game which should have an end of season feel about it. Genoa have now hit five goals in two games, but did ship three goals to in-form Roma recently. 28 of their 44 goals this season have been at home and they should be able to breach an untrustworthy Atalanta defence. The hosts have scored in each of their last six home games whilst the visitors have found the target in their last eight games and their last three away. They haven’t kept a clean sheet in five away games and this match could be a chance to try out a few younger players. We should see both sides find the net here.
