Belgium v Finland Predictions
Belgium enjoyed an excellent qualifying campaign for the Euro’s as they finished top of Group B, scoring 24 goals and conceding just five. They’ve only lost one of their last seven games, a 2-1 defeat to Portugal in March’s friendly, and go into this one on the back of a victory over Switzerland, with goals from Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne securing a 2-1 win for the Belgium Red Devils. Despite captain Vincent Kompany out of the tournament through injury, Belgium are many people’s tip, including mine, to have a successful campaign and this warm up match should provide Belgium with an opportunity to continue their excellent form.
They are suffering with a few injuries, particularly in defence as both Dedryk Boyata and Nicolas Lombaerts have joined Kompany and Bjorn Engels on the side-lines and will miss out on Belgium’s’ first European Championships for 16 years. Christian Kabasel has been called up and may make his international debut here. Mousa Dembele is unlikely to feature and Radja Nainggolan is unlikely to be fit after picking up an injury whilst on Roma duty but Yannick Carrasco might get some game time after joining up with the squad after the Champions League final.
Finland haven’t been in the best of form recently. They failed to qualify for Euro 2016 after finishing fourth In Group F behind Northern Ireland, Romania and Hungary and were subjected to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Sweden last time out. Captain Niklas Moisander hasn’t featured under new manager Hans Backe and is missing again. Backe will be looking for his side to find some form before their World Cup qualifiers after their poor run where they have lost their last four friendlies.
This looks an easy victory in Brussels for the home side as they prepare for Euro 2016 Group E, and that is reflected in odds of 3/10 for Belgium to be victorious. With Finland only scoring nine in the ten games of their fruitless Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, and failing to score in their last four friendlies, my first football tip is for Belgium to win to nil. Despite Marc Wilmots’s defensive injury concerns, they still have quality at the back with the likes of Jason Denayer and Jan Vertonghen. My first Belgium v Finland betting tip is Belgium to win to nil, the best odds are 11/10 at Paddy Power. Bet £10 with a new Paddy Power account and get a £30 free bet for Euro 2016.

Kevin De Bruyne moved seamlessly back into English football after his move to Manchester City back in August. He had an outstanding first season for the Blues, despite missing two months through injury, and had continued that form for his country. He scored last time out against Switzerland and I think he’ll get on the scoresheet again. My second Belgium v Finland prediction is for De Bruyne to score anytime; the best odds are with Sky Bet at 6/4. Bet £10 on a team to win Euro 2016 and get a free bet every time they win a match.

My final betting tip for Belgium v Finland is for Belgium to win both halves. I can’t see past an easy Belgium victory here and at odds of 2/1 with Paddy Power it’s definitely worth a shot.
