Barnsley vs Nottingham Forest predictions and betting tips for the Championship fixture on Friday 25th November with expert football tips and reasons.
Friday night’s fixture from the Championship sees Barnsley host Nottingham Forest at Oakwell and we’ve got three betting tips for the match.
Nottingham Forest did the unthinkable last weekend and kept a clean sheet in the league! Travelling to Portman Road is never easy, but Forest came away with all three points. The home side saw penalty claims turned down and chances spurned, but they were beaten by two Britt Assombalonga goals. The big frontman makes a noticeable difference to the Tricky Trees when he’s fit as his finishing is second to none and he’s a constant threat. It moves them up to 18th position and they are unbeaten in two ahead of their trip to South Yorkshire. They need to prove it wasn’t a flash in the pan and they can keep the run going, but they face an uphill battle against the treatment table once again. The injuries are mounting with the latest blow seeing an unfortunate Chris Cohen out for three months. Phillipe Montanier would have been hoping to send out the same team once again and keep a consistent line-up, but this won’t be possible. Barnsley are the hosts here and are three places above their opponents in the Championship. The Tykes haven’t been able to continue their fine early season form, but they are unbeaten in four, drawing their last three. Despite tremendous firepower in the side, Barnsley have found it difficult to find the back of the net recently with back to back goalless draws. They do have Sam Winnall and Adam Armstrong to call upon and they will be looking to find a way through a patched up Forest defence. Connor Hourihane continues to collect admiring glances from bigger clubs, he’s the man to watch in the middle of the park and will be looking to pull the strings for the hosts.

Barnsley vs Nottingham Forest Predictions
Forest’s away form has been poor, but they did beat Ipswich last time out. Barnsley’s home form has been far from convincing with just three wins here all season and none of them coming in the last five games here. They’ve drawn three of the last five here and this one could go the same way so the draw is our first Championship betting tip for Barnsley vs Nottm Forest.

Goals Prediction
Barnsley haven’t netted in their last two home games, but should find a way through here. They had plenty of chances against Wigan, but the Latics survived. Forest will attack the Tykes backline too, so we could see some goals at Oakwell, leading to our second football betting tip for the match.
2 or 3 Goals in the match – Evens with Bet365: BET NOW.

Anytime Goalscorer Tip
Britt Asssombalonga is a huge favourite in the anytime goalscorer odds, but he isn’t certain to shake off his injury. For my final Barnsley vs Nottm Forest predction I’d prefer to back Sam Winnall who has hopefully been practicing his shooting in training after missing numerous chances for Barnsley last weekend.
Sam Winnall anytime goalscorer – 9/5 with Betfair: BET NOW.
Bet on Winnall to score anytime here.

Barnsley vs Nottingham Forest Team News
Compared to their opponents, Barnsley have an almost full squad to choose from ahead of this. Sam Morsy Is back after being ineligible at the weekend to play against Wigan. Aidy White is a long term casualty and is joined by Sessi D’Almeida on the sidelines.
Forest lost Chris Cohen for three months at the weekend and he will be a huge loss at full back. Hildeberto is still on the sidelines after picking up a three match ban.
Elsewhere, there are doubts over the participation of Eric Lichaj and Britt Assombalonga. Forest fans will be hoping both shake off their knocks.
Jack Hobbs, David Vaughn and Nicklas Bentner have all resumed training, but this game is likely to come too soon. Matty Fryatt and Matty Cash are long term absentees whilst Daniel Pinillos is suffering from a knee problem.
Barnsley vs Nottingham Forest Head to Head
These sides haven’t met since the 2013/14 season which saw two home wins. Barnsley beat Forest 1-0 here thanks to a Dale Jennings strike whilst earlier in the campaign Forest beat the Tykes 3-2.
These sides have played out four draws in the last seven encounters.
Barnsley vs Nottingham Forest Betting Odds
These two sides are quite evenly matched. Barnsley start at around 6/4 for a home win whilst Forest can be backed at around 9/5. The draw will be popular at around 12/5
