Anytime Goalscorer Tips 10th December
Matty Taylor – Bristol Rovers (v Bury)
The Bristol Rovers striker has seemingly been linked with every Championship club at some stage this calendar year. He is prolific and will once again have his name banded about in January. Onto matters on the pitch, he has netted 15 times this season in 24 appearances in all competitions. 12 of those have arrived in League One. He has netted three goals in the last three home games and all of his last five goals have come at the Memorial Stadium. This should be the ideal fixture for the Gas as they host struggling Bury. The Shakers have conceded 16 goals in their last 5 matches and will struggle to keep them out. Taylor should find plenty of space in the Bury backline and will hopefully find the back of the net for us to get this weekend football tip off to a flying start.
Scott Hogan – Brentford (v Burton)
Brentford have been frustratingly inconsistent recently and hard to back, but one man who does find the net with regularity is Scott Hogan. The former Rochdale man is enjoying his spell in West London and has netted three goals in his last three games. He’s netted all three of Brentford’s last three goals. They are struggling at the moment, but hosting poor travellers Burton is the ideal way to bounce back. The Brewers have struggled on the road and they’ve been unable to keep clean sheets. Dean Smith will be desperate for his side to get back to winning ways and this is the perfect chance – Hogan should be at the forefront of that.

Kyle Vassell – Blackpool (v Stevenage)
Not many Blackpool fans were impressed when Vassell arrived, but he’s proved to be an all-round frontman for Gary Bowyer’s side. The former Peterborough man has netted 11 times in 20 appearances and was rested in midweek in the Checkatrade Trophy. He should be fresh and ready to fire against Stevenage. The hosts have conceded 29 goals this season, the highest in the top half and Vassell should get chances. Blackpool have plenty of strikers available and he will need to continue his fine form if he is to continue his stint in the team. He never stops chasing and hassling defenders and should force mistakes from the opposition defence.
