Glenn Murray obliged last week, but a rare off-week for John Akinde meant we didn’t land the Anytime Goalscorer Bet. With many of the Football League side in FA Cup action, we’ll pick some out hitmen from the top two tiers.

Anytime Goalscorer Tips 3rd December

Charlie Austin (Southampton) v Crystal Palace

Austin has scored 9 times this season and has netted Southampton’s last two goals in the league. He scored in a matter of seconds to win the game against Everton at the weekend and now he goes up against one of the league’s worst defences. He was given a rest in the week with Shane Long leading the line in the EFL Cup, but he should be reinstated to the Southampton starting XI here. Austin is a natural goalscorer and there should be plenty of chances come his way throughout the 90 minutes to get our football tip off to a winning start. With Long back from injury, his place in the side could be under threat and he will want to continue finding the net with regularity in order to keep the Irishman out.

Odds for Austin to score anytime – 13/10 with bet365.

Jackson Irvine (Burton) v Rotherham

This price will be slightly larger and increase the returns because Irvine plays a midfielder for the Brewers. The Australian has had quite the impact since moving down from Scotland and has netted 6 times in the Championship already. He pops up in the right place at the right time and can be lethal. He was responsible for the winner against local rivals Derby earlier in the season and his most recent strike came last weekend. Burton took the lead against Preston as Irvine found space to finish neatly. He will be looking to bag his 7th of the campaign against the worst defence in the Championship. Burton are strong at home and Rotherham are dreadful away from home. The Millers have lost boss Kenny Jackett this week and are in disarray. They’ve shipped 28 goals In 9 away matches and are unlikely to keeping a clean sheet in this one.

Odds for Irvine to score anytime – 12/5 with bet365.

Danny Graham (Blackburn) v Huddersfield

He may have faltered in the Premier League, but a fit Danny Graham can be a potent weapon in the Championship as he proved it against Brentford last time out. Rovers come here off the back of two consecutive wins and could make it three against an out-of-form Huddersfield. The Terriers have seemingly forgotten how to defend and lost to Wigan on Monday night. Blackburn meanwhile beat Newcastle and should be able to pick up three points here. Graham has only scored four goals so far this campaign, but missed nearly all of October through injury. He’s back now and netted twice against Brentford in their last home game. He played 90 minutes against Newcastle last weekend and will work tirelessly for the cause. Huddersfield cannot defend set-pieces and have now let in 5 goals in 2 games and Graham will fancy his chances here.

Odds for Graham to score anytime – 5/2 with bet365.
