Both Teams to Score Tips 15th October
QPR vs Reading
Although this feels like a 1-1, there are some statistics to back the BTTS up. QPR under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink have struggled recently but picked up a much needed 3 points against their rivals Fulham before the International Break. They took the lead, but let Fulham back into it and even survived a missed penalty. They haven’t kept a clean sheet since the end of August in any competition and defensively they could be suspect against a decent Reading outfit. The last five games featuring the R’s would have landed BTTS. Reading have impressed under Jaap Stam and they’ve netted in each of their last five games. Four of their last five away games have seen both teams finding the net and with goals from all over the pitch they should be able to find a way past QPR. They’ve kept four clean sheets this season, the three of those have been at the Majeski.

Fleetwood vs Peterborough
Peterborough were struggling for goals until the TV cameras turned up last weekend and they hit three past Bury. Grant McCann’s side certainly have firepower, although there’s been a disappointing return from Shaquille Coulthirst and Paul Taylor this season. Tom Nichols provides energy and there is plenty of threat from the wings. They hit three past a usually reliable Shaker’s defence and should be able to score against a Fleetwood side who haven’t kept a clean sheet since the 3rd of September against Coventry. Uwe Rosler has improved Fleetwood considerably this season and they started the season well. Goals were a problem last season, but they’ve netted in every league game this season and should continue that pattern here against a Posh side who conceded after just 2 minutes last weekend. It’s no clean sheet in five for Peterborough and this one should have action at both ends.
Northampton vs Millwall
Northampton are usually a good bet to get on the scoresheet. They even managed it with ten men against the leaders Scunthorpe on Saturday ruining many an accumulator. They’ve netted in every game in the league since a 0-0 draw on the 20th of August. They’ve also failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three league games, that runs includes a 2-3 defeat to Bristol Rovers here a couple of weeks ago. Millwall are having a dreadful season. They started off well with a 3-0 win over Oldham and looked very convincing during the early stages of the campaign but have gone off the boil since and their defence is at 6s and 7s. They’ve shipped 11 goals in their last 4 league games and serious re-organisation is needed at the back. They have managed to score in every league game this season though so their attack continues to shine.

Notts County vs Crewe
John Sheridan said it was possibly the worst display he’s ever seen when his side collapsed at home to Morecambe in midweek. A 2-1 defeat was unexpected and given the firepower that the Magpies possess it’s odd that they couldn’t find the net until the 92nd minute. They are back at Meadow Lane here and looking to make amends with the manager’s words ringing in their ears. They’ve scored in all but two of their league games this season and with League Two player of the month for September Jon Stead leading the line, they should find a way past Crewe. It’s now five games since the Railwaymen kept a clean sheet and they’ve netted in every game since the end of August. They have Chris Dagnall and Ryan Lowe up front, who may have a combined age in triple figures, but can score goals at this level very easily. They should be able to find a way past a hapless Notts County defence who have conceded 5 goals in 7 days.
