Both Teams to Score Tips 8th October

Scunthorpe vs Northampton Betting Tip

Scunthorpe maintained their lead at the top of the table with a 2-1 victory over second place Bury last weekend. They looked impressive going forward and Josh Morris continue to score superb goals. They always looked like they could get another couple and back at Glanford Park, they should be able to find a way past a Northampton side who had a late collapse against Bristol Rovers last weekend. The Cobblers have made a decent start, but they’ve been leaking goals. They have been finding the back of the net though with 9 scored in their last three League One matches. They should give the leaders a challenge and Alex Revell will always be a handful at this level. Scunthorpe have been solid in defence against poorer sides keeping clean sheets against Charlton and Shrewsbury in the EFL Trophy, but the visitors will give them plenty to think about.

Blackpool vs Cambridge Betting Tip

Considering how many strikers are on their books, it’s a surprise that Blackpool haven’t scored more goals than the 15 they’ve notched this season. Kyle Vassell has been the most prolific with midfielder Brad Potts also chipping in. Jamille Matt is back to fitness and started in the EFL Cup in midweek. Danny Philliskirk has also recovered, although he’s being deployed on the wing for some reason. Mark Cullen and Jack Redshaw are also on their books although the latter hasn’t been involved this season. They’ve hit 5 goals in their last two games at Bloomfield Road and have been entertaining the non-existent crowd. Cambridge have improved significantly and have won three in a row. Their victory over Accrington was full of drama with two missed penalties from the visitors after 90 minutes. They deserved their victory though and striker Uche Ikpeazu will be determined to score against the side he spent an unsuccessful loan spell at last season.

Luton vs Crewe Betting Tip

Luton are looking to bounce back from a slight stutter over the past couple of weeks. Nathan Jones’ side looked like title contenders early season, but they’ve just gone off the boil of late. They’re unbeaten in three though with a win and a couple of draws of late. They beat in-form Donny here a couple of weeks ago and will be looking to see off inconsistent travellers Crewe. The Railwaymen tend to find the target though with the veteran front two of Ryan Lowe and Chris Dagnall both off the mark for the season. They’ve played 8 times away from home across all competitions this season and have only failed to score once (away at Cheltenham). You have to go back to the end of August to find the last time Luton kept a clean sheet and they are always liable to concede. The Hatters have Danny Hylton back after his ban and combined with youthful exuberance of Jack Marriott, it’s an exciting frontline.

Morecambe vs Carlisle Betting Tip

This should be a decent game with Carlisle likely to take plenty of fans the short distance to the Globe Arena. The Cumbrians remain unbeaten this season and will look to continue that here. They’ve drawn their last two away matches 2-2 and we could see a similar score-line on Saturday afternoon. Morecambe had their match abandoned last weekend, but they drew 2-2 with Barnet the time before hitting the woodwork four times in that match. They have goals in the side with Liverpool loanee Jack Dunn alongside Michael Rose, Tom Barkhuizen and Paul Mullin and they’ll look to find a way past a Carlisle defence which has conceded 7 of it’s 11 goals on the road this season. The Shrimps have shipped 11 goals in 5 home matches this season, so they’re far from solid either.
