Both teams to score accumulator for this weekend’s football covering the 3pm kick-offs on Saturday 27th August including reasons for each betting tip.

We’re searching high and low on Saturday afternoon for matches in which both sides are likely to find the back of the net. We’ve picked out the best four for our BTTS tip.

Both Teams to Score Tip

  • Everton v Stoke
  • Huddersfield v Wolves
  • Charlton v Bolton
  • Hartlepool v Newport

Reasons for the Weekend BTTS Tips

Everton v Stoke City

Both of these sides have been involved in BTTS matches so far in the Premier League. Everton drew 1-1 with Spurs and followed it up with a 2-1 win against West Brom. They look to have regained some of their zip going forward under Koeman and although the defence is better, there’s still room for improvement. Although shipping four goals, Stoke still have Man City plenty to think about in last week’s clash at the bet365 stadium. There are many talented players in both sides and this could be an entertaining game at Goodison. Lukaku is still recovering from a recent injury but might get the nod here whilst Kevin Mirallas and Ross Barkley already look significantly better than last season. Worth noting there were 10 goals across the two meetings between these sides last season.

Huddersfield v Wolves

It’s still the early stages of the season, but not many pundits would have had Huddersfield top of the league at this point. The Terriers have been brilliant this season and devastating going forward at times, a great sign for our weekend both teams to score tip. They have plenty of power going forward and Elias Kachunga has adapted to the Championship perfectly. Jack Payne also looks a terrific addition in midfield. They also have Nakhi Wells on the books and have this week added Tareiq Holmes-Dennis who is a forward thinking full back. They have scored in every game so far this season and will be refreshed after a midweek break. Wolves have also been finding the net with regularity, although they failed to find a way past a stubborn Ipswich side. They were brilliant last week in the 3-1 win over Birmingham and they looked devastating going forward at times.

Charlton v Bolton

Another side who sit top of the division are Bolton. Not many would have expected such a strong start from the Trotters, but they have an excellent manager in Phil Parkinson and they still have plenty of strong dangerous players. Gary Madine likes playing and scoring at this level whilst Jay Spearing has been outstanding. Mark Davies back to full fitness is the man to be marked in the centre of the park. They look good and have won their last three games by the scoreline 2-1. They haven’t been able to keep the opposition off the scoresheet since the opening day and they will need to work hard to keep Charlton off the scoresheet. Russell Slade’s Charlton have started slowly, but they’re moving now and Nicky Ajose has scored his first goals for the club. Ajose can be hard to stop on a roll and he could net again here.

Hartlepool v Newport

Both of these have been entertaining in the opening exchanges of the league. Hartlepool drew 3-3 last week with Crewe and have scored 7 goals already this season in their 4 matches – a great pointer for this football tip. Tellingly, they’ve also conceded 7, so they know where they need to improve. BTTS would have landed in all of their games so far. They’re looking much better under Craig Hignett and could cause problems for Newport. The Exiles drew 1-1 last week and opened up the campaign with a 3-2 defeat. BTTS has landed in three of the last four and they currently sit 17th in the table. Six goals conceded in four suggests there is work to do at the back, but Newport will definitely provide entertainment this season.
