Watford will be low on confidence coming into this game after losing in the last minute to Chelsea last weekend and being knocked out of the EFL cup by Gillingham on Tuesday. One positive to come out of the first few games has been the performance of midfielder Etienne Capoue as he has scored both league goals that Watford have scored so far this season. Goal-scoring isn’t normally one of Capoue’s strong points but with Deeney and Ighalo still struggling to find the form that they produced in the first six months of last season, its lucky that Capoue has hit the ground running. They did complete the signing of Daryl Janmaat this week and this is a very good signing for them as he has premier league experience with Newcastle and has assisted ten goals in the past two seasons in the league which is a brilliant record for a right-back.

Some Arsenal fans are getting increasingly frustrated that Arsene Wenger hasn’t gone into the transfer market and signed a top quality centre-back or a centre-forward, it’s evident that they need one if not both. Conceding four in their opening game of the season against Liverpool shows that their centre-backs aren’t good enough against quality opposition and the lack of chances against Leicester in last week’s stalemate at the King Power stadium highlights the fact that they need more going forward. Ibrahimovic, Aguero and Diego Costa have all started the season on fire and I feel that they need a striker of this calibre if they are going to compete for the title this season. Arsenal will be confident going into this match though; they have won all six premier league encounters between the two clubs and have the likes of Ozil, Koscielny and Giroud coming back to full fitness after the European Championships.
