Over 2.5 Goals Accumulator Tips this Weekend

Brentford v Charlton

Two London clubs meet on Saturday afternoon and neither can defend. Charlton thought they had got a valuable point against Reading last weekend, but they lost to an injury time winner in a seven goal thriller and it’s now nine goals conceded in the last three Championship games. Despite being woefully out-of-form, Brentford hit three past Wolves in their last match at Griffin Park and they do have goals in them. They’ve also conceded 12 goals in their last five games, so with Yaya Sanogo in goalscoring form for the visitors, they could ship a couple here. Only three matches since the middle of December have failed to go over 2.5 for Brentford whilst four of the last six have gone the same way for the Addicks.

The bet365 odds for over 2.5 goals in Brentford vs Charlton are 13/20.

Wigan v Peterborough

Peterborough are woefully out of form. Since their FA Cup replay defeat at the hands of West Brom, Graham Westley’s side have struggled to put any sort of run together. Each of their last five games has ended in a defeat and they’ve conceded 14 goals in the process. That plays into the hands of a rampant Wigan side who hit three at home to Bury previously. They’ve scored three times in three of their last four home matches and only an ever-improving Oldham side stopped them netting here. 30 of their 55 goals scored this season have been here and with Peterborough leaking like an old bucket, but scoring in their last three games, I think this one might be high scoring.

The bet365 odds for over 2.5 goals in Wigan v Peterborough are 3/4.

Bury v Bradford

Bury have bounced back from a dreadful couple of months and have won three of their last five matches in League One. They’ve got goals in them, hitting three in midweek against Peterborough. Bradford let many an accumulator down by losing to rock-bottom Colchester in midweek, but they still managed to get on the scoresheet. Five of their last eight have gone over 2.5 goals and against a newly confident Bury, there should be goals in this one. Bradford still have one of the better defences in the league, but they’ve conceded four goals in their last three games. Leon Clarke, Craig Jones, Ryan Lowe and Andrew Tutte have all been scoring recently for the Shakers and this could be an entertaining one.

The bet365 odds for over 2.5 goals in Bury v Bradford are 5/4.

Leyton Orient v Luton

7th meets 13th here in League Two and I think there could be goals here which is perfect for our over 2.5 goals tip. Leyton Orient have scored five goals in the last three games and Kevin Nolan is adapting to management well. His side have plenty of firepower but they’ve recently shipped four to Northampton and three to Cambridge here. Luton are the visitors and they’ve won four of their last five. They beat York 2-3 in their last away match and seem to be sharing the goals around. Cameron McGeehan and Jack Marriott have both been in good goalscoring form although loan striker Joe Pigott is yet to make his mark. Three of Luton’s last four games have gone over 2.5 goals.

The bet365 odds for over 2.5 goals in Leyton Orient v Luton are Evens.

Carlisle v Northampton

Northampton have drawn their last two games, but I think they can get back to winning ways here. Carlisle have quite an open style which often leads to exciting goal-filled games. They drew 2-2 with Leyton Orient in midweek and they have kept just one clean sheet in their last five matches. Northampton do have plenty of goals in them and recently hit four past Leyton Orient. Marc Richards has recently picked up an injury but they’ve signed John Marquis to fill the void. They’ve scored seven goals in their last four away matches and I think they will find a way past Carlisle.

The bet365 odds for over 2.5 goals in Carlisle v Northampton are 21/20.
