Bolton v Burnley betting tips and predictions for this weekend’s Championship fixture at 3pm with an over/under goals tip and anytime goalscorer bet.
It’s a tasty North West derby on Saturday afternoon as Burnley look to continue their fine run at the Macron Stadium. Our football tipster has picked the best three football tips for this weekend.
Bolton v Burnley Predictions
It’s no defeat in 10 for Burnley now and they’re looking every inch the promotion contenders under Sean Dyche. It’s no surprise though as the former defender has his side very organised and playing for one another with tremendous spirit and skill.
They are very solid at the back with four consecutive clean sheets to their name and just three goals conceded since Boxing Day. They are well marshalled and disciplined in defence and have recently beaten leaders Hull and in-form Nottingham Forest both by a 1-0 scoreline.
Winning seven of their last ten games they are going to take some stopping as they aim for automatic promotion and Bolton are facing a huge uphill task in this 3pm kick off.
It’s been a decent week, for once, for Bolton as the club was purchased by a consortium. They are far from out of the woods financially, but at least they can stop worrying about going out of business as they aim to preserve their Championship status.
It’s been a season of few positives for the club, but they have been playing well at home, losing just three times and drawing nine. Their only victories though have come against Rotherham, Blackburn, MK Dons and Wolves. All teams who sit much lower in the table than today’s opponents.
There’s every chance that Bolton could grab their 10th home draw of the campaign here, but as Burnley managed to see off a very stubborn Rotherham side last weekend, eventually winning 2-0. I would be edging towards a narrow Burnley win for my weekend football tips.
After hitting 12 goals in three games, Burnley’s last three victories have been 1-0, 2-0 and 1-0. It would be churlish to say the goals have been drying up, but perhaps they’ve been putting more professional performances against sides who have set up to be hard to break down.
The Clarets have drawn their last two away games, at Sheffield Wednesday and Reading, both sides have terrific home records. Bolton drew 1-1 with QPR in their last match at the Macron.
Rather than just back a Burnley win, I’m going for a larger price. Burnley should win this, but I think it will be narrow.
My first Bolton v Burnley prediction is for Burnley to win by a 1 goal margin. It can be backed at 5/2 with Bet365.

I think this one will have few goals when looking for an over/under 2.5 goals tip. Burnley have kept four consecutive clean sheets and will look to extend that to five against a side struggling at the wrong end of the table. Although Bolton have been scoring, they’ve hit just a single goal in their last two games and I think they will struggle to breach the Burnley backline.
My second Bolton v Burnley prediction is for Under 2.5 goals. It can be backed at 4/6 with Ladbrokes.

We recommended Sam Vokes to net in our anytime goalscorer tips last week and he duly obliged. The Welshman is now on penalty duty after striker partner Andre Gray missed one recently. He should be able to find the net during these 90 minutes.
My third Bolton v Burnley betting tip is for Sam Vokes to score anytime. He can be backed at 21/10 with Coral.
