Football accumulator tips for the Football League and Non-League fixtures on Tuesday 16th February with some massive odds on offer.

There is plenty of Football League and National League fixtures on Tuesday night to accompany the action from the Champions League. We’ve picked out the best bets for the evening’s football accumulator tip.

Football Accumulator Tips 16th February

Hull City v Brighton – Hull City win

Hull are very strong at the KC and they are difficult to break down and score against. Just a single defeat here all season and they’ve only failed to collect maximum point on three occasions. Brighton have improved significantly, but they only narrowly won their last away match against struggling Blackburn and that was their first win on the road since the 17th of October. Their defending worries me slightly, particularly as they let bottom side Bolton net twice at the weekend. Hull’s defence looks rock solid and they have the in-form Abel Hernandez in flying form with 16 goals for the season. They should have too much for the travelling Seagulls.

Bury v Sheffield United – Sheffield United win

It’s a worrying time to be a Bury fan. After starting the season solidly and looking odds on for a comfortable mid-table finish, they’ve slipped alarmingly and now find themselves in 16th position. Appropriately they also have the 16th best home form in the league, but have collected just four points from their last four games at Gigg Lane. David Flitcroft’s side shipped six at the weekend against Coventry and that won’t do their confidence any good. They have plenty of talent in their squad but have scored just three goals in the last seven matches and none in the last three in the league. Sheffield United bring some good away form into this game, having beaten near neighbours Doncaster by a single goal on Saturday. They’ve not lost in any of their last seven away matches and even had the resilience to come back from three goals down at Wigan. Nigel Adkins’ side should be able to take advantage of Bury’s poor form.

Bradford v Southend – Bradford win

Bradford are an inconsistent team this season, but they looked the real deal as they cruised to a 4-0 win against Peterborough on Saturday. You have to factor in the fatigue suffered by the hosts after playing 120 minutes of football in midweek against Premier League opposition, but it was a complete performance from the Bantams. They appear to have finally solved their goalscoring problem with James Hanson firing once more and Stephen Davies getting in on the act too. One of Bradford’s qualities is at the back and they’ve conceded few goals this season with Rory McArdle, Reece Burke, Stephen Darby and James Meredith proving a very cohesive unit. Southend narrowly lost to Scunthorpe on the road and they face another long away trip here. They had decent away form earlier in the season, but have won just one of their last four and that was against struggling Shrewsbury.

Oxford v Northampton – Northampton win

Northampton are just swatting sides aside at the moment and they are looking for their 8th consecutive win in a row at the Kassam. They are also seven unbeaten on the road and have won each of their last four on the road. They’ve scored in each of their last 25 games in the league and look good to take maximum points from this match. They swept aside play-off hunting Leyton Orient at the weekend, netting four times with Marc Richards scoring twice. They have also beaten promotion rivals Plymouth at Home Park and I can’t see why they can’t beat Oxford for this accumulator tip. Michael Appleton’s side are much better on the road this season. Nine of their 15 wins have been on their travels and they dispatched of Morecambe at the weekend. But here, they have won just one of their last four matches and have been defeated by Bristol Rovers whilst being held by Mansfield and Carlisle. Northampton are nine points ahead of their opponents and have taken 21 points from the last eight matches and Chris Wilder’s side look a solid bet to put another foot forward towards League One.

Braintree v Boreham Wood – Braintree win

Braintree are a very solid outfit in the National League and complete our football accumulator. Despite sitting 6th in the league they have the 2nd best defence in the league and are very difficult to find a way past. Just one goal conceded in their last four matches and it’s now seven consecutive clean sheets at home for the Essex side. They look a decent bet for the play offs, particularly the home legs where it’s hard to see anyone scoring past them. Although Boreham Wood beat them a few weeks ago, that was away and it was by a single goal. Boreham Wood are the second lowest scorers in the league it’s hard to see them getting anything from this match. They haven’t won in any of their last four away matches and they haven’t scored in any of their last four games on the road. With Braintree conceding an average 0.57 goals at home and Boreham Wood only scoring 0.79 goals away from home, I fancy this to go to the home side.
