Blackburn v Fulham predictions and this week’s free football tips for the Championship fixture on Tuesday 16th February including the best odds for our three bets.
Fulham gained a much needed win in the West London derby on Saturday and their potent strike force heads to the North West to face Blackburn, but who will win when Blackburn play Fulham?
Blackburn v Fulham Predictions
The Cottagers were out of sight by half time as they stunned QPR and Loftus Road on Saturday. Goals from Ross McCormack, Moussa Dembele and Tom Cairney had them in a prominent position and not even a late consolation from Tjarron Chery could dampen the spirits of those travelling fans.
Fulham desperately needed those points as they look to avoid being dragged into the end of season relegation scrap in the Championship. With Bristol City improving and both Charlton and Rotherham appearing to tighten up their backlines, it’s important they start picking up points, but that victory and the draw with Derby previously are cause for optimism.
Defending has always been their problem, they’re averaging 1.57 goals conceded a game this season, but over the last four outings, they’ve got that down to one goal a game. It’s a gradual improvement overseen by new-ish boss Slavisa Jokanovic who knows he has the strikeforce to be higher up the division.
Blackburn slipped below this week’s opponents as a result of the weekend’s results and it’s been a worrying sequence of results for Rovers. Paul Lambert’s honeymoon period is definitely over and there is serious work to do. They’ve made some decent loan acquisitions in the shape of Jordi Gomez and Matt Grimes, but replacing the goals of Jordan Rhodes will be extremely difficult.
They are struggling in front of goal with just three goals scored in their last eight games. You don’t need me to tell you – that is relegation form. Their last win came 10 games ago and they’ve won just 21% of their games here at Ewood Park.
A club the size of Rovers cannot afford to slip into the third tier of football and they have to be careful. They’re level on points with MK Dons and Bristol City, but have a five-point cushion over the relegation zone and a victory here would make things a lot more comfortable.
Paul Lambert said his side got what they deserved after the result on Saturday and it’s a negative reaction which won’t help the spirit in the camp. Blackburn are the joint lowest scorers in the Championship with just 25 notched all season and the fans are unsure where the slump is going to end.
My Championship predictions below will tell you I don’t think it will end here.
It’s just three points for Rovers from the last eight matches and with Fulham averaging a point a game in recent weeks, you have to favour the away side.
Fulham are as big as 13/5 to win with some firms and that is a very tasty price. You can take 8/11 on the Handicap for the +1 on the away side as well. It might be worth backing them both.
My first Blackburn v Fulham betting tip is Fulham (+1) on the handicap market. It can be backed at 8/11 with Ladbrokes.

Moving onto some anytime scorer tips it might also be worth backing Fulham’s potent front two on the anytime goalscorer market. Despite their goalscoring issues, it’s three Blackburn players leading the way in the market with Tony Watt, Danny Graham and Nathan Delfounso at the top of the list. But, with 888Sport, you can get Ross McCormack at 5/2 to score during the 90 and 27/10 for Moussa Dembele to also net against the Lancashire side. It’s worth noting that between these two players, they have scored more goals than Blackburn Rovers have as a team in the entire season!
My third Blackburn v Fulham prediction is for Ross McCormack to score anytime. He can be backed at 5/2 with 888Sport.
My fourth Blackburn v Fulham betting tip is for Moussa Dembele to score anytime. He can be backed at 27/10 with 888Sport.
