Arsenal v Leicester Predictions

 

Every time I think it's a game too far for Leicester, they prove me wrong as was shown last weekend at Manchester City. The Foxes were outstanding in that game, running out comfortable 3-1 winners, and a similar performance here could see them take all three points again. If they do manage that, or at least take a point, and with a run of 'easier' games coming up Leicester surely become firm title favourites. There have already been some crazy bets on Leicester to win the Premier League including bets at 5000/1.

 

Arsenal got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Bournemouth after going three games without scoring. They have an excellent record against Leicester, not losing in 18 top flight matches against them including a 5-2 victory at the King Power stadium back in September but this one will be a much tougher occasion.

 

Arsenal have no new injury worries but Danny Welbeck is not fit enough to make his return. Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky are all long term absentees. For Leicester, they could stay unchanged for the sixth consecutive game.

 

No result would be a surprise here so I'm not even going to have a guess for my Premier League predictions. What I am going for is an anytime goalscorer tip. Jamie Vardy scored twice against Arsenal in that 5-2 defeat and is this season’s top goalscorer so far. He was unlucky not to add to his tally at the Etihad last week and his pace will cause the Arsenal backline all sorts of trouble.

 

My first Arsenal v Leicester City prediction is for Vardy to score anytime – the best odds for Vardy to score against Arsenal are 2/1 with Ladbrokes.

Both sides possess excellent attacks, Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have gained all the headlines this season but the contributions of Marc Albrighton and Shinji Okazaki can't be underestimated.
