Friday Night Accumulator Tips

Malaga v Getafe Betting Tip – Malaga win

It’s a mid-table affair in La Liga on Friday night as Malaga host Getafe. Malaga have been in decent form in their last eight matches. They’ve won five of those games, drawn one and lost two. The two defeats were away at Sevilla, the third best home team in the league and they were edged out by a single goal. They were also defeated by Barcelona, again, just a goal was enough for Luis Enrique’s side and Malaga can consider themselves unlucky in both matches. Here, they’ve beaten Celta Vigo & Atletico Madrid, both impressive wins and they won at Eibar last weekend. Getafe have just tailed off of late, they’ve had a good season and they remain strong at home, but with back to back defeats to Athletico Bilbao and away at Granada, their confidence may have been affected. Just one away win in four for Getafe and that was against relegation fodder Sporting Gijon. I think Malaga can continue their good form.

Bari v Crotone Betting Tip – Crotone win

Crotone surrendered top spot at the weekend to Cagliari when they lost to Pescara at home. They are away at Bari this time around, a side who are enjoying life in the top half of the table, but haven’t been in-form recently. They’ve taken just four points from their last six games which isn’t the kind of form you would expect from a side sitting 4th. Crotone are just a point off the leaders and will want to bounce back here. It was only their 3rd defeat of the season and their first since the 31st of October. They are hard to beat and have won four of their last five away matches. With the chance to go above Cagliari for at least 24 hours, they will want to take advantage. Bari have shipped nine goals in their last six games and they will have to tighten up defensively if they are to get anything here.

Brest v Bourg-Perronas Betting Tip – Brest win

Neither of these sides are particularly in form, but Bourg Perronas are atrocious away from home and that should give Brest the chance to take all three points. Brest are no great shakes, but they’re reasonably solid at home only losing twice here all season. They’ve only been defeated by a single goal margin in both of those games, once to free-scoring Clermont and the other against Valenciennes. It’s now just five points in seven games for Bourg-Perronas and there is work to do for them. Just one goal in their last four goals Is a huge problem that will need to be rectified. Brest have just conceded three goals in five home games, so they shouldn’t face too many problems offered by the away side. Bourg-Peronnas sit comfortably midtable, but if their current form continues, they’ll be treading water in the bottom half.

Clermont v Auxerre Betting Tip – Clermont win

In-form Clermont were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw at Paris FC on Monday night, they had the majority of the chances, but Paris FC are a solid outfit, who simply don’t score goals. Clermont will look to bounce back here and make it six straight home wins. They’ve only been defeated here once all season and that was to leaders Nancy at the start of the season. They very rarely drop points and it’s hard to see 8th place Auxerre causing them too many problems. They’ve lost three consecutive away matches and haven’t won on the road since mid-November. They are much better at home, but it’s just two goals in four away matches and I think they will struggle with in-form Clermont.

Sochaux v Red Star Betting Tip – Red Star win

And our final selection for the Friday night accumulator also comes from Ligue 2. Red Star are sitting nicely in 4th and looking to catch the teams above them. Sochaux are a poor outfit, who reside in 17th and are struggling for any kind of consistency. They’re averaging less than a point a game and also with just 18 goals in 24 matches, goalscoring isn’t something they’ve become accustomed to. Red Star are not high scorers themselves, they rely upon a tight defensive unit and keeping clean sheets. Although they’ve drawn a lot of their away matches recently, I think they can grab three points here. They’ve actually only lost once on their travels all season. Red Star have the best defence in the league and have not conceded a goal away from home since the 2nd of October.
