Accumulator Tips 21st November

West Brom v Arsenal – Arsenal to win

We start this week’s accumulator tip with the return of the Premier League. This is just the kind of match that Arsenal would have struggled with in recent seasons. Tony Pulis will make sure that his West Brom side are tough to beat and will try to bully Arsenal off the park. This type of tactic may have worked in previous seasons but Arsenal look like they are made of stronger stuff this time around. The Gunners have lost just twice this season, both in London derbies. They have found a way to turn draws into victories and have won five of their last six. West Brom on the other hand are having an inconsistent campaign. They are clear of relegation danger at present but their style of play is starting to frustrate the fans. The Baggies have lost four of their last six and Arsenal should have enough quality to claim a victory.

Leeds v Rotherham – Leeds to win

We continue this weekend footy acca bet with what should be a fiery Yorkshire Derby. At the start of this year both managers were in charge of the other club. Rotherham manager Neil Redfern looks to have a season long battle to avoid relegation. Since his appointment in October the Millers have just a single point to show from six matches. Unless they can begin to find some form they will be in League One next season. Leeds were also struggling this term winning only two of their first 14 league matches which prompted the appointment of Steve Evans. The Whites have since lost just once in five and won their last two. Anything is still possible for Leeds this term and another three points on Saturday looks like being the likely outcome.

Crewe v Peterborough – Peterborough to win

The next selection for our football accumulator is Peterborough United. The Posh have had a very average start to the season but still find themselves just three points away from the top six. If they could just find some consistency under new manager Graham Westley then promotion could be a serious possibility this term. They are joint top scorers in the league and will be hoping to improve on that stat this weekend against the team propping up the division. Crewe are having a season to forget so far and need to improve soon if they want to avoid dropping into League Two. They have won just three matches all campaign and are the lowest goalscorers in the league. This could be a tight affair but I believe that Peterborough's extra goal threat will be enough to take the victory.

Wigan v Shrewsbury – Wigan to win

Just three short years ago this week Wigan travelled to Anfield to face Liverpool in the Premier League. One amazing FA Cup win and two relegations later they find themselves down in League One. Wigan took time to come to terms with this league but are now starting to look like title contenders. They have won four of their last five and are unbeaten in ten league matches and are yet to lose at all at home. They welcome a Shrewsbury side who themselves are finding this season tough since last season’s promotion from League Two. They have lost five out of their last seven league matches and are just a single point above the drop zone. Both clubs need the points for very different reasons but the form side are Wigan and I fully expect them to take the victory.

Dagenham v Oxford – Oxford to win

We finish this week’s football coupon tip with League Two promotion contenders Oxford United. The U's are having a very good season so far and currently occupy second position. Manager Michael Appleton has his side playing some good football whilst remaining difficult to beat. They have lost just twice all season and have won six of their last eight matches. They travel to a Dagenham & Redbridge side who are bottom of the standings with just one league victory all season. They did manage a victory in the FA Cup in midweek but before that they have lost three of their last four matches, hadn't managed to record a victory in ten games and haven't won at all at home in the league since April. That midweek win may have raised confidence but I still expect high flying Oxford to take the points.
