Both sides will be desperate for bragging rights in this one, especially with Burnley triumphing 2-1 last time at Ewood Park. Prior to that, the two teams had shared three consecutive 1-1 draws.

Blackburn played on Wednesday evening and have a number of injuries to assess ahead of this game before they select their starting line-up against Burnley. Ben Marshall and Hope Akpan limped off in midweek, but Gary Bowyer is confident they’ll be fit enough for this one. Burnley came back to draw against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night, a Matt Taylor goal in the second half levelled things up for the Clarets after their opponents had gone down to 10 men. It was another solid performance from Sean Dyche’s side, who very rarely lose a game.
The worrying stat for Burnley fans is that Blackburn haven’t conceded in any of their last four home games and have only shipped three goals at Ewood Park all season. The Clarets are going to find it very tricky to break down Rovers and that’s something to consider when picking our Blackburn v Burley tips.
At the other end, if Burnley can keep Jordan Rhodes quiet, they have pretty much nullified the primary goalscoring threat. The former Ipswich man has scored seven of Blackburn’s last nine goals dating all the way back to early September. A second consecutive 0-0 for the home side or a 4th 1-1 draw in five games between these sides is not ruled out. With Blackburn unbeaten in four home games and Burnley unbeaten in four away games, neither side will be willing to surrender their recent good form.
