Free football betting tips for the final Championship game of the weekend as Burnley visit Derby and we have football predictions.
Burnley have put four consecutive wins together for the first time since 2013. They completed the four-fold with a 2-1 victory over MK Dons in midweek. They have been scoring goals and although record signing Andre Gray couldn’t get on the scoresheet against the Dons, he was lively and looks like an excellent addition to the squad.
Derby meanwhile have put back-to-back wins together for the first time this season with a 1-0 victory at Reading and a 2-1 win against Preston. Neither of these have been particularly convincing and there’s still work to do for Paul Clement and his team.
Derby v Burnley Predictions
Sean Dyche has done an excellent job at stabilising his team after their drop from the Premier League. It often occurs that teams simply cannot get back into the winning mind-set, but he has had little problem so far. A defeat away at Ipswich the only loss so far. He has made some timely additions, but kept the nucleus of the team that got them to the top tier a couple of years ago. Michael Keane seems like a decent addition at the back and he has been weighing in with goals too.
Signing Darren Bent and Andreas Weimann seemed like a masterstroke in the summer, but it so far hasn’t paid off as it’s been Chris Martin and Tom Ince that have carried the goalscoring threat for the Rams.
There still seem to be a few minor problems in defence, with goals going past too regularly for Derby fans liking, but you can’t help feel that they’ve turned a corner of late.
It’s a difficult one to call as both sides are playing well of late. As the home side, Derby should be going for it from the off and taking the match by the scruff of the neck. But, Burnley are tough to beat and I think this one could end up all square.
My first Derby v Burnley prediction is the result to be a draw – It can be backed at 5/2 with Betfred.

The stats show that despite their mixed form, Derby have scored in all of their last six games. They only put one past 10 men Reading, but it was enough in the end. They drew 1-1 regularly at the start of the season and they conceded late on to Preston (90+12!), it looks like it could be a similar story here. Burnley offer plenty of goal threat and have scored in all of their last four games. They’ve also won 2-1 and 3-1 in their last couple of outings.
My second football prediction for Derby v Burnley tonight is for both teams to score, it can be backed at 4/5 with Sky Bet.

The aforementioned Chris Martin has been scoring the majority of Derby’s goals and he is lethal at this level. He can be the man to set Derby on their way here. If the former Norwich man is fit, he is one of the first names on the teamsheet.
My third football betting tip for Derby v Burnley tonight is Chris Martin to score anytime – it can be backed at 7/4 with Bet365.
