Saturday’s Football Accumulator Tips:

Derby to win away at Huddersfield

We start this week’s accumulator tip with play-off bound Derby County. The Rams had been favourites to lift the Championship title for much of the season until March where they failed to win in six matches. They even looked in danger of dropping out of the play-offs but two wins in their last three matches have put them back on track and they look set for the top six. Huddersfield have had a good season and have stayed clear of any relegation trouble. They really have nothing to play for now and I fully expect Derby to take advantage of this and to build up some winning momentum to go into the play-offs with.

MK Dons to beat Leyton Orient

MK Dons are another team in the promotion hunt. The play-offs look like the most likely outcome but they do still have a chance of achieving an automatic position. The Dons are in great form winning five of their last six and they haven't even conceding a goal in four matches. Leyton Orient have had a awful campaign. After defeat in the play-off final last season many expected them to be in the promotion race this term but they find themselves sitting just outside of the relegation zone on goal difference. They really need to pick up some points to avoid the drop but it’s hard to see them getting anything this weekend against one of the form sides in League One.

Chesterfield to win away at Oldham

Sixth place in League One has been up for grabs all season. The top five set their stall out very early on and have stayed in those positions but the final play-off place has had half of the division eyeing it up. However Chesterfield look to have risen from the pack and the position is now theirs to lose. The Spireites have won five out of six and back to back promotions is now becoming a real possibility. They come up against an Oldham side who have sat in mid-table for most of the season. Losing manager Lee Johnson to Barnsley was a blow and they are currently without a victory in five. The Latics season looks to be over and I fully expect Chesterfield to consolidate their position in the top six with a victory.

Bury to win away at Portsmouth

These two clubs were the joint favourites for the title back in August before a ball was even kicked and although the season hasn't quite gone to plan for either of them, Bury can still make their season a success. The Shakers have been the form side in League two winning eight of their last ten matches. They are certain of a top seven finish and automatic promotion is still very much in their sights. Portsmouth on the other hand have had a poor season. The 2008 FA Cup winners looked like relegation candidates for the first half of the campaign but have turned it around to sit in mid-table. Pompey will already be looking to next season and Bury can take advantage of this and take the three points.

Bristol Rovers to win away at Dover

Dover have had a fine season in the Conference since promotion last term but they now find themselves with nothing to play for and take on the biggest club in the division who have everything to play for. Relegation from League Two seemed to hit Rovers hard at the start of the campaign but their class started to show and they still have a chance of automatic promotion back to the football league. The Pirates are just one point behind leaders Barnet with just two games to go. They need to ensure that they win their last two matches to take advantage of any slip up by the Bees and that motivation should be more than enough for them to win here and bring home our winning weekend accumulator.
